Best burgers outside of disneyland?

Another In-N-Out lover here. I don't really care about the fries, DH loves'um though. Just give me my double double!!

We really loved In n Out Burgers, and Carls Jr too. I would have to also agree with Fudruckers.

There's also a Fatburger very near Knott's - east on La Palma before you get to the Buena Park Mall.

As for burgers, my favorite is Tommy's. Chili cheeseburgers with beefsteak tomato and pickles. Really good, but although there are several in OC, unfortunately there aren't any close to DL. Even the original in LA (Beverly and Rampart) is off the beaten path.

the only good Tommy Burger is an original Tommy burger - all the rest are imitation (don't try to convince me the chain is all the same - they just don't taste right unless you wait in a long line with the roaches and homeless)

I love that In-N-Out only has burgers, they do one thing and one thing well. The shakes are great also. No trip is complete with out a In-N-Out buger and fries and don't forget the T-Shirt!

I have to agree with you. While the location near me(literally a block away :yay: ) is very good, going to the original "Shack" is always the best!

Another excellent place to eat is the hat, they make really good burgers too even though they specialize in Pastrami... God, i drool soo much eating it :P

theres one up the 57 exit Imperial Hwy, make a left and you will see it on the left.

I like In-N-Out's double double animal style & their chocolate shakes are heavenly! Yum!! I also like the burgers at Islands but I'm not sure if they have one in Anaheim. :confused3 They also have really good tortilla soup and onion rings there too! :goodvibes

Grew up in So. Cal. and two things I really miss are in n out and chick-fil-a.
I think for in n out one of the big draws is the freshness. Fresh hamburgers, you watch them cut the fries I love the shakes. But, keep in mind, they are fast food. That's what you get. They aren't gormet burger places, they are fast food burger places. Most days, I'd take in n out over sit down any day.
Some sit down places I'd recommend, otherwise, Red Robin's, Flakey Jakes (if there are any around), the previously mentioned Fudruckers. While I admit to late night trips to Fat Burger's, they were just too greasy for me. A bit or two goes a long way. If you wanted to get one to share and half it with somoene (for me, I'd only want 1/4), might work.

One of the best burger places around Disneyland, IMO, is Varsity Burgers. :lovestruc It is sort of one of those hole-in-the-wall burger places, but it is great. If you drive northbound on Harbor blvd, When you get to Lincoln, go left. It's right there.

They have awesome EVERYTHING, including burgers, sandwiches and mexican food. Best onion rings. Open til 10pm every day also.

They have a website with a menu as well...

I am unsure if this is by DL but we went to in and out in San Diego. The fries were forgettful but the burgers and shakes are some of the best I have ever had....well except for Peter's Drive In on 16th avenue in Calgary! :thumbsup2

I like both In 'n Out and Fat Burgers. But, they are completely different. In 'n Outs are very small, and very well done. Fat Burgers are more juicy. Of course, you'll pay a lot more for Fat Burger. ( and I mean alot!)

I think the FB in Orange does a BOGO free on Tuesdays. The one here in Corona doesn't but they "double stamp" your card.

If you go to In 'n Out I rec. getting the fries "well done" They remind me of Pik Nik sticks. Very good.

You've been to Peters!! I have ranked their burger as one of the best I've ever had! And one three hours drive away too.

is any in-n-out outside disneyland within a walking distance?
No, but the OCTA #43 bus stop on Harbor Blvd is within walking distance. Take that bus north to Fullerton. Ask to get off at Orangethorpe - that stop is within a few feet of the In N Out.
