Best Buffet?

Boma & Ohana. They were the only 2 buffets DBF & I ate at last May. We had 7 dinner ADRs last May that were good, but Boma & Ohana were so good that we are going back on our next trip! :cutie:

We visit Boma (my favorite) and Cape May (kids and wife's favorite) every trip. Biergarten and Trails End are the two others we like.

I see Ohana on many peoples "Best" lists. Our two experiences there were just ok (maybe because we were not in the main dining area?), but will be going once again this August during free dining.

Our favorites mirror others, Boma for either breakfast or dinner. My dh would eat here everyday. I loved CP as well, we only tried breakfast, but we thought it was great and charachter interation was wonderful the day we went. I liked Beirgarten as well, but my dh, who usually can find anything to eat, had difficulty liking anything on the buffet. So, while I enjoyed it he did not. LTT is family style for dinner, you can ask for more. I honestly don't think anyone in our party really enjoyed it.

We also like O'hana's a great deal. After our last meal though, dh and dd ended up not feeling well. I do not at all think it was O;hana's. I really think it was exhaustion and a bug. They were right as rain by morning. Anyway, that has colored the meal there and dh asked we not do it again soon. But, again, I enjoy O'hanas.

Am I missing something or have things changed? I see a lot of people including Ohana's on their lists, but I thought it was family-style, not a buffet?:confused3

Yes they do and it's really good. Sweet Potato Pancakes, key lime Eggs Benedict, whole wheat Mickey waffles. Really good, fresh and follows the Wave philosophy.

That sounds like a perfect match for us. Thanks for the information.

Dinner at Ohana for atmosphere and food

FYI: Boma used to be our favorite. We used to go every trip even staying offsite. Last time (still decent, but not as exceptional), some of those great African dishes just weren't there. Seems that food was less authentic, catering to what a theme park crowd will eat. We decided that for our next trip, we'll need to fork up some extra money for Signature dining and do JIKO instead of BOMA. Still this would be my second favorite buffet / love to get out to ALK too.

For food, Boma for sure. Ohana is great too but it is family style, instead of a true buffet.

For atmosphere, I love Germany. The kids love to get up and dance there so it is priceless (and let's the adults talk). We met a lovely family there last time. Food not so great though.
