I have been using Rhapsody - 3 months for $24.99. We just hooked up our TV in the living room to a computer (YAY! One step closer to getting rid of cable) Anyway...I added Rhapsody to the living room and it made me upgrade to a $9.99 a month plan - grrrr, well okay....

So I come to my office computer, and it made me upgrade that Rhapsody to the $9.99 a month plan too - but I was reading the fine print and it said that it can only be used on one computer at a time, or else you have to upgrade to the highest plan!

So that is useless to me. I don't mind paying a small subscription fee, as DH and I work on the computers a lot - and we like our playlists.

I was doing some goggling - pandora came up a few times - but I would really like some recommendations and why you like it. TIA!! and I'll be back later this afternoon.

Try Pandora, its free with limited commercials. You set up "stations" based upon a genre or music or an artist and it plays music that fits with that style. You can click like (which will add it to your rotation) or dont like (which will remove it) I use it all the time and its great.

They also have a pay version thats $36 for the year and removes the ads. The only thing is you only get to skip 6 songs per hour. You can get around this by switching stations more often.

Love Pandora--great way to discover new music. I started with a Jimmy Buffett station, worked my way to a Jack Johnson station and am now loving an Israel "Iz" Kamakawiwo`ole station I set up on Pandora.

Gonna third the Pandora recommendation. The ads aren't that invasive, and the song variety is really good. I love it.

i've always heard about pandora and rhapsody but never knew what it was...is it at all like Live365?
