Good morning everyone! I will be taking a vacation to the Orlando area in a few weeks and of course will be going to Disney ... super excited :yay: This may sound weird but I never know what to wear in terms of makeup because I want to look good in the pictures (hah) but also don't want to have to worry about touching-up, smudging, etc. I wear makeup pretty much every day - I feel naked without it at work especially. I am looking for a budget friendly foundation that will stay on in the heat and I won't have to be completely worried about touch ups, etc. Currently I am using this Revlon customizable makeup where it let's you adjust the shade, but I am running out and need to get something new.

What are your suggestions? What have you had good experiences with? My cousin recommended CoverGirl NatureLuxe but I don't know, I don't know if it will mesh well with my oily skin. Definitely interested in trying some new makeup...let me know. Thanks :)

We go to Disney in the heat of the summer usually. So I don't even bother with makeup!! Its too hot and sticky to try to keep it looking good. I might not look made up in our pictures, but I think I look like we are park touring, so I dont worry too much.

Sorry I don't have advice for you. But I am interested in what people will say.

I don't use foundation at the parks. I do wear makeup everyday at home for work. For the parks I use physicians formula tinted moisturizer. It is around 11.00 I think. It is much lighter than foundation and has an spf to it. It doesn't seem to sweat off as easy on me. Also, I have incredibly sensitive skin and it doesn't bother me at all.
I still wear powder over it and a little eyeshadow, lip gloss, and waterproof mascara. (I would look like a raccoon on Splash Mtn with regular mascara!:lmao:)

Not cheap but I love Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. It's sheer but covers. It's the only foundation I can wear now. I hate foundation. So I think that might work.
But I wouldn't do it at Disney. I am a lip gloss sunglasses girl in Disney.

My suggestion for make up for heat and if your skin tends to be oily is MAC studio fix. It isn't budget friendly really, though it does last a really long time (it's a compact, powder foundation). Mine lasts several months. I love it.

This! I do use a matifying primer first. My lashes are darker, so on hot and humid days, I curl my lashes and rely on shadow for definition.

And don't underestimate the versatility of a pressed powder with SPF.

I have heard good things about Cg NatureLuxe gets great reviews online. My sugestion is CVS you can return stuff so buy & try.

For in the Parks I am a tinted Moistursier, blush, & Mascara with chapstick

I recommend Everyday Minerals - very similar to Bare Essentials, but a fraction of the cost. They will send you 7 free samples with every order, too!

I make my own tinted moisturizer by mixing my full-coverage foundation (right now, it's a Mary Kay one I'm trying to use up) with my moisturizer, Oil of Olay sensitive skin, with SPF 30. I mix them in small batches, so that I don't have it sitting around for too long. If you have a foundation that you normally use, but want something lighter for the trip, you can mix them together on the back of your hand for each application. That way, you don't have to worry about making a whole batch up.

I am in the minority - I swear by fake eyelashes! I get them on eBay for about $1 per 10 pairs, and once they're put on, they're rock solid, through sweat, water rides, rain, etc. I had a pair on for the Disney One More Day, and they still looked great after 39 continuous hours! I can't feel them once they're on, though - only when I rub my eyes was I reminded of their presence.

I use NYX primer under my eyeshadow to keep it on longer without looking bad, chapstick can work as well (don't use the mint kind!), or even foiling - getting your shadow wet before applying. It makes the colors more vivid, and prevents creasing during the day.

For lipstick, I usually start with something like Revlon Colorstay, which will stay on through damn near anything, and then applying tinted balm over it during the day.

This is the same exact thing that I started doing for WDW and it works great. I actually now do this all year long because I'm getting older and regular foundation gets stuck in my wrinkles and makes them look more noticeable.
