I need your advice on what the best BUDGET hotels is in the DTD area...by BUDGET, I mean - not more than say $110/night. I feel like we are going to be in culture shock, having stayed our last couple of times at Bay Lake Tower and Animal Kingdom Lodge...but, my kiddies want to go and the BUDGET is not allowing for that kind of trip this time! TIA! Y'all rock!

Embassy Suites - LBV. Should be around $100/night or less. You get bedroom and living room, kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Includes full breakfast buffet and managers reception with free drinks (including alcohol) and snacks each night. Less than 5 minutes to DTD.

We stayed at the Hilton DTD on Hotel Plaza Blvd on Oct 7th. And we loved it!:lovestruc. No, it's not Disney, though they have EMH with Disney! There rooms were fine. We just stayed in a standard 2 bed unit, no special view, but it was clean and just what we needed!
Most people walk to Downtown Disney as this hotel is at the corner across the street from DTD.
They have a restaurant, a grab-n-go market, an Edy's Ice Cream shop, a Disney gift shop, and wonderful pools with clean large towels to grab! We'd definately stay there again if we couldn't do Disney Resorts.
Price I paid? Last Minute Travel Vacations...$77 a night!

And we told them we were celebrating our inlaws 50th Anniversary...they gave them sparkling champagne and chocolate wine goblets; and gave me a Birthday Cupcake!

And the chef walks around in the late afternoon with fresh baked cookies to sample..YUM!

We'd stay there again!:thumbsup2

For budget stays the Hilton DTD has worked very well for us. Most recently we stayed in Oct. and booked through the Hilton website. AAA rate was $79 for the double. The rooms are clean although the layout and baths are dated. Due to our Hilton Honors status on each stay we have been upgraded to a large suite. There is a fee to park but I don't know how much it was as we paid for valet. The room service is adequate and there is a large grab and go.

All in all for what we have paid (never over $89) for a large suite it is a good value and you do still receive EMH.

Depending on when you can go, you can get a condo for that rate -- meaning you can cook in your unit, which is a great help financially if you kids eat like mine do. ;) I've seen both Floridays and the Fountains with rates around $100/night for a 2 BR. Haven't stayed at Floridays but we have stayed at the Fountains and quite liked it.

Where did you manage to get the Fountains for $100/night? Did you book on their website, or somewhere else? Thanks!
