Best Breakfast Buffets?

Best ones we found were Cape May and Crystal Palace. Can't go wrong with either one.

The buffet at the GF is good if you like to get "custom" omelettes, but it can be a long process to get there early in the morning (depending on where you
are staying). I learned my lesson and booked at the Cape May in Dec. because we were staying at the BC. The buffet was very good and we ended up eating breakfast there twice. I have not tried Boma, but have heard good things...again, take into account where you are staying or take
a cab. Have fun!!

Another vote for Crystal Palace - absolutely must do each trip. We also enjoy 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian (I think you can ask to not be in the room with the calliope).

Was not so impressed with Cape May buffet and DD and I have tried it twice. Chef Mickeys used to be a must do, but we got tired to the crowds and wait times, which were much worse than other places like Crystal Palace.

Boma has a nice buffet, but our favorite is Cape May. Despite the fact that Cape May is a character breakfast, they also have a nice assortment of fruit and breakfast items. It's worth the visit.

Not to venture too far off topic, but keep in mind if you're having dinner at Boma, you may not be very hungry the next morning. I know that's always the case with me, and I'd hate to go to a nice buffet and not feel like eating anything.

We actually did this on our last trip - Boma for dinner, and then breakfast the next morning. I'm not a good "buffet" eater - I eat the same amount that I normally would for dinner, so I was just fine going back to Boma the next morning. My husband is more of a value buffet eater - he had a lot for dinner, and so ended up skipping going back to Boma for breakfast. Our two kids, of course, consumed copious amounts of food both times.

I agree with other posters that the Boma breakfast buffet was incredible, but we only did two restaurant breakfasts (Akershus was the other one) the whole time, so I don't have a lot of basis for comparison.

I have eaten at both Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare ( Many many times) and I prefer 1900 PF, the food wasn't that bad at CP but I think the quality at 1900 PF is so much better. Never have eaten at Bomas, yest but here goood things about there. Don't forget everyones opinion on here is just that an opinion and personal taste. Enjoy no matter where you decide on eating, I look at breakfast as a meal you really can't screw up :)

Thanks for all your help. I do plan on eating at Boma for dinner, and since its hard enough choosing places to eat at with the time we have, I'm going to opt out on that for breakfast. I think I am going to look into Crystal Palace, Tusker House, and Hollywood and Vine. We are also planning a dinner at Cap May Cafe. We have also considered looking at Whispering Canyon or Trails Ends for one. We usually eat 3 times a day on vaca. because we get up at the crack of dawn and go til late. So we tend to get hungry more. I was actually looking for a breakfast buffet for the morning of our relax day! But there is soo many good choices. I think I might buy the disney dining book to help me with further details! :goodvibes But again.. thanks for your help!! :thumbsup2

Hello. I need you help! I'm trying to decide on which place would be nice for a breakfast buffet. I've never ate at a T.S. restaurant during breakfast time, so I have nothing to compare. Are there any that you suggest? It's just my DH and I, so it doesn't have to be character breakfast or anything. Also, I would like it to be with the dining plan and not take more than one T.S. meal. Thanks! :flower3:

We love Boma's for breakfast!!

Just FYI that WC is not a buffet. You can order a great breakfast skillet there though. Then you could explore the lodge and mosey to Ft. Wilderness afterward if it's your "relax" day.

Kona also has great breakfast, but then again, it's not a buffet either.

Good luck choosing!

I know you said you don't care if it has characters or not but I have 3 children 5 and under so only recommendations I can give you is character breakfasts. Anyway I recommend Ohana at the Ploy, great service , food is also great, served family style so you don't have to get up and the atmosphere is beautiful . Let me just say I'm so glad you did not choose 1900 Park Fare for your meal , I swore this place off last year for breakfast after not a character came to our table , know this is not important to you but for someone w/ 3 kids it is very important .
