Best Breakfast Buffets?

Hello. I need you help! I'm trying to decide on which place would be nice for a breakfast buffet. I've never ate at a T.S. restaurant during breakfast time, so I have nothing to compare. Are there any that you suggest? It's just my DH and I, so it doesn't have to be character breakfast or anything. Also, I would like it to be with the dining plan and not take more than one T.S. meal. Thanks! :flower3:

Here is one that I've looked at: Crystal Palace and I've looked at 1900 park fare, and although I would like to try it, it didn't really catch my DH interest. So I'm crossing that one off of the list of dining for this trip.

Boma is the absolute best breakfast buffet! We LOVED it. The food quality was so much better than other buffets, and there was tons of variety. Check out the food photos threads, theres tons of photos from it that will help convince you.

And Boma has Jungle Juice, a mixture of passionfruit, guava, orange, and some other juices.

If you are looking for a character meal for breakfast, I recommend Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. In October 2007, the chef came up with a new way of making scrambled eggs, and everyone is raving about them. It involves boiling them in a bag with butter-flavored canola oil.

That just sounds gross.:scared:I have to admit I don't usually get eggs from a breakfast buffet (too dry) but the ones at Cape May looked and tasted very good. Maybe I should get try the canola oil bag thing at home.:rotfl:

WE really enjoyed Crystal Palace. Its character. Pooh, Piglet, Eeyor, and Tigger are there. IT was fun, nice interaction with the characters and my KIDS LOVED IT....I vote for it...so much so that we are going back in September!!!

we love Crystal Palace for breakfast -- no kids here, either! -- I highly recommend getting an 8 a.m. ADR on a non-EMH morning. That way you get into the park an hour before the thundering herds....makes for some great photo ops. :thumbsup2

I vote for Cape May Cafe as well if it is only going to be you and your DH. We actually had breakfast there the morning of our anniversary and had a great time! The food was great, the atmosphere was great, the service was good/efficient/friendly (we got a free dessert and Donald helped sing Happy Anniversary to us because we were wearing our pins) and the resort is gorgeous to walk around after breakfast. :) It wasn't too crowded or crazy and the character interaction is good for 2 people without kids. It was Minnie, Donald and Goofy in beach gear and they stopped and took pictures with us. We were able to eat and enjoy ourselves. Food selection was awesome!

DFi and I are also two adults who wanted a good breakfast buffet and did not care about characters. We chose Crystal Palace. I've also heard excellent things about Boma but we were going to be there for dinner the night before.

We loved every breakfast buffet we tried.
Tusker House
Cape May
Crystal Palace
Hollywood and Vine.

Something to keep in mind though is where you are staying and whether you will be using Disney transportation. We stayed at POP and I don't think I'd try Cape May for an early breakfast again. We made it because of luck and an awesome bus driver (he went off the system to take us there). I probably wouldn't try a Boma or a Cape May before 9am again unless I am driving or planning to use a cab (which I am too cheap to do).
My dh's fave was Hollywood and Vine. The characters were friendly, the most of all we saw all week. The food was very good and seemed to have just a little more that we liked.

Boma and Tusker House... are comparable. We love both, they have a great selection, and are comparable in price.

Ohana has an awesome (but simple) breakfast but its so relaxed and yummy!

Not to venture too far off topic, but keep in mind if you're having dinner at Boma, you may not be very hungry the next morning. I know that's always the case with me, and I'd hate to go to a nice buffet and not feel like eating anything.

Then again, you might be one of those folks who can always eat their three square meals a day. Or, maybe since your note is written in the past tense, you've already made the trip and already enjoyed both meals!

Just a thought.

Another vote for Crystal Palace. It's the one place we always make sure we go to when we're down there:)

Boma is the BESTEST breakfast in all of WDW!

I also vote for Boma. It is a good buffet with a very nice atmosphere.

If your staying at Pop, I would recommend that you take a cab to AKL. They are plentiful in the morning at Pop and should only be a 10 minute drive up Osceola Pkwy (Left on Victory out of Pop, right on Osceola, straight ahead to AKL). After breakfast, you can catch bus transportation from AKL to any theme park.

Edited to add - If you like coffee, Boma is one of the few places that offers a "press pot". I'm not sure if you can order this on DDP but it is worth it!

My two cents - I would avoid 1900 PF for breakfast because I personally cannot stand the calliope organ "Big Bertha" that constantly blasts from overhead in the main room. However, I enjoy 1900 for dinner very much as the organ music is turned off.

I also gotta agree about Boma. I love the breakfast there more than the
dinner.

My second favorite is Hollywood & Vine. Dinner there was a yucky experience for us twice...but the breakfast buffet is awesome!
