I have heard people talk about it for years, but until I spent 1 night AKL this January and actually went there, I never believed them. Now ? No question about it. Boma is the best breakfast buffet on property. Not even close. I loved everything about it. The hostess and waitress were incredibly friendly. The chefs (many of whom work directly behind their stations and engage with the diners) were super friendly, and took great pride in what they did. They were more than willing to explain the history of some of the more esoteric options, and make recommendations on what you should try. The juice they served there was just fantastic. And best of all - the price seemed super reasonable ... and I was paying Out of Pocket.
I know some people seem to get worried at "adventurous" food, but Boma had all the standbys covered. But if you go, do yourself a favor and try some stuff you haven't tried before. I mean, I never would have thought hand carved turkey, a corn polenta (Pap) and a spicy tomato salsa would be great breakfast food, but it was ! And the sausage they served there was one of the best I've ever had. I'm not normally a breakfast person, but I've been thinking of that meal since I had it, and it's definitely on the agenda for my trip in November.
