Between Fort Wilderness Cabins or Port Orleans Riverside?
We're a family of five...And still trying to figure whether or not to do the kitchen thing! Can you all help? :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks!

Part of your decision may be based on the ages of your children. We also are a family of 5. POR is great with the trundle bed. It is very small and you will not have much walking room once you pull it out. We will probably no longer stay here, kids are 14, 10 and 7. We just need a little more space. The cabins give a double, I believe, and bunks in the bedroom. There is a murpy bed in the living room area. Every kid gets his own bed, that is nice. The fridge is handy also. The only draw back is it is a cabin. I am not the camping type. There is usually a significant cost difference between a room at POR and Fort Wilderness cabins. Also, at POR there will be an extra $15 charge per night for using the trundle bed. One other option is to get two rooms at the All Stars depending on the ages of your children. That means four beds, two tv's and two bathrooms. You can also stay as a family of five at any of the deluxe resorts except WL and AKL. Good luck deciding.

Thank you...My kids will be 10, 5, 5...I never considered 2 rooms at the allstars...great suggestion! We stayed at the *** 5 yrs ago when the twins were 9mo...not fun or much room w/2 cribs and a frig!

Thanks again!

I'd do Fort Wilderness. Just because there is a kitchen doesn't mean you have to use it. But it is nice to have that microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and full sized fridge.

Plus you can park your car right outside your door.

There's also lots to do there, the petting zoo, pony rides, bike rentals.

I also like that you've got more privacy.

Thanks for the info....which is a longer "commute" to the park, ASR or FWC? And on a different subject...How do I get to post how many days left till my next Disney trip?

Depends on teh park.

All Stars are closer to AK, FW is closer to the MK, Epcot and MGM are a toss-up.

My family of 5 stayed at ASMu in 2001. We were 9,7,3 at that time. We got two rooms and really enjoyed it. The extra bathroom alone is worth it. The kids feel like they have their own private area, as does DM and DD.

We are also a family of five and are staying at FWC on the FTP in Oct. The price of our cabin on the FTP works out to $116.00 per night. With the added space in the cabin, POR does not work for us. Added plus at FWC is the deck and the grill.
