Best beer/cocktails at WDW -- yes I LOVE alcohol!

Hmm I must try this. What's it called? I'm currently stuck on Illusive Travelers grapefruit beer.

It's called Schofferhofer Grapefruit. I think that's how it's spelled at least. FWIW, I prefer the Traveler grapefruit.

I've found it at Total Wine if you have one nearby.

Here are my suggestions from our trip last week. Only drink I don't have a pic of is the Lost on Safari at the Dawa Bar in Animal Kingdom. Really good! It's right outside the safari.

Here is the moonshine flight at Whispering Canyon Cafe

One of my favorites! The grapefruit martini at Flying Fish. They make their own sorbet. Delicious!

And everyone's favorite! The Lapu Lapu from O'hana.

Yum! Those pics make me thirsty. We are going to Whispering Canyon, so the BFF will be happy to see the moonshine flight. Also going to Ohana, so the Lapu Lapu is a definite yes for all of us. Can't wait to try the grapefruit beer -- don't know how I've missed this on previous trips.

I had a Bahama Mama from Ohana this past trip that was out of this world! I second the Grapefruit beer and the welsh dragon from Rose and Crown!

Sam Adams worse than Peroni PLEASE!!!!

True.

I dislike both beers equally really. My family and I used to own a beer brewery (they still do) in North Carolina and do not like Sam Adams beer in any way, shape or form to be honest. I did not like them, or their beers. Though Peroni is no better (beer wise) either. I would like to see more local Florida beers at the American Pavilion actually. Cigar City has really good beer and it's right down the road.

I have been looking too! No luck so far, but need to check the larger liquor stores. Where did you find it?

Yes, it's Schofferhofer. Here's the website to help you locate where to find it:

The store I found it at had a couple of other brands I'll have to try too.

You should pass on both and instead get the Sweetwater IPA (Georgia brewery) which is a MUCH superior beer. They have it on draft at Liberty Inn. And agree about Cigar City - you can get their beers (the Jai Alai IPA is outstanding) at a number of places (they've had it at the Crew's Cup lounge at Yacht Club) but not in Epcot that I'm aware of.

I am not old enough to drink alcohol yet but have my family which includes Mom, Dad, Old Sister(20-not old enough to drink yet either-but I think she has) and my Younger Brother who is only 7. We have been to WDW when The Food and Wine Festival has been going on and My Dad and Mom have tried some of the Beers, Wines, and other drinks. I think when I get of age that this time of year going to WDW will be a must for me because it looks so awesome. My older sister and I have even talked about taking a Sisters trip once I am of age to drink and go during the Food and Wine Festival times.

Not a fan of SweetWater beers that much. Nothing wrong with them, recipe wise. I just personally do not like them. I know/knew Freddy and Kevin (owners of SweetWater Brewing) rather well when we were first trying to get into that industry. They were always more than willing to listen and lend a helping ear or had when needed. They do a great job environmentally at their brewery as well.

I do like some of their beers -- The Gimp, Quad Ale and their Whiplash are all very solid beers

Trust me. I know where all the beers are on property. I almost ended up working for Cigar City a few years back actually. Before our brewery took off, they offered me a position. Yeah, never found Jai Alai in EPCOT. The only place I have seen it IN the parks is at 50's Prime Time & Hollywood and Vine at the Studios.

My favourite place to drink on property was the Crew's Cup Lounge. I tried Trader Sam's and it was just not my speed. I love bourbon and whiskey so it is a great place and they had a drink called the Smoked Turkey. It was awesome.

I would suggest watching the DIS Unplugged podcasts on drinking around the world and drinking around the Broadwalk.

My other favourite was the pomegranate margarita at Mexico. Just an FYI for Mexico, they will not accept foreign driver's license but require a passport.

I don't mean to highjack this thread, but I live in NC and we visit a lot of different breweries. Where is your families brewery located?

We had Funky Skunk Brewing in Otto, NC. They are down now however. Moved it from Pensacola, Florida to NC when my family moved there. Owning with family was difficult (again) and proved too much yet again. Emotions, etc. ruled and we had to get out. Hence our recent move to Orlando :)

Do they still serve the Tres Pistoles beer in Canada? That's the husband's favorite.

I love the Avocado Margarita in Mexico, the red wine flight at Tutto Gusto and the Grand Marnier Slushy in France.

I believe Le Cellier still carries it along with a few other selections from Unibroue. He should be OK :)

Yeah, there's a number of breweries I prefer over Sweetwater, like Stone or Ballast Point, just making the point that I'd much prefer Sweetwater to Sam Adams, which is very blah.
