I'm right here! I would be running amuck with you! but I am getting ready for my fun filled weekend... actually my dad is kinda scared for me to go because all he sees is tattoos, alcohol, and back to back BBQs.... maybe I'll get another piercing while im down there to put the icing on teh cake for him...


and you guys thought DDad was the only one who could be evil!

actually even tho his family would let me drink and stuff i think I wont because I think I have been voulenteered designated driver...

oh well im not much of a drinker anyways... Josh always makes his drinks WAY to strong.. you mix it so you dont taste the alcohol... at least I do.. unless its strawberry vodka and orange juice... tastes likea fruit roll up! mmmm

Did you get much damage from Katrina? I know you are fixing up anyway since the last people who had it ruined it. I've been to Slidell once or twice but not enough to remember what it was like.

We got a tree branch throught the roof and about 4 feet of water and swamp mud in the house. Blech It was not pretty. But we lived through it and are moving on.

Only 6 pages to catch up on from last night. It must have been the storms that went threw the country last night. People were hiding in there bathrooms. We were without power from 9-2 last night.

I love to listen to thunder storms.

That's a really good trip, you will love it. The only other thing to do and I highly recommend you stay in Tunica, MS, which is only 25 miles from Memphis. Graceland and all the Memphis things are pretty much in the bad city neighborhoods. There are a lot of people around so it's safe it's just that for staying you'd want to stay on the Mississippi side. Even stay in Horn Lake, MS which is half way between Memphis and Tunica. They have a big kids quest at the Grand Casino resort if you have kids and of course the hotels have pools. They have great restaurants and all but not much more than Gambling at Tunica. Of course if you want to take other little day trips there are lots of things within an hour or so of Memphis area. I saw tons of brochures but didn't really pick any up as we already knew what we were doing!!!!

thanks for the tips on where to stay definitely don't want to stay in the wrong part of town. I'll have to talk to DH and see if he might wanna do this sometime next year before our other disney trips

I've got 4 & 1/2 pages to catch up on and I think I was off later than you. That sucks that you were without power last night. Hope the storm didin't cause any major damange. We're dying for rain here in Georgia! We haven't seen a drop in TWO weeks!!
