Awww, it takes them a while to find the feeder and stay there. Try it next spring, about May I'd say there and then keep the feeder full and see if they find it. They normally only feed twice a day, once in the morning and once around dusk.

We had a ton of them last year. I don't know what happened this year.

Love all the hummingbird talk funnily enough we don't get many over here When we went to St Lucia we were lucky enough to see some! I did see a kingfisher a few weeks ago, is that impressive to you all or are the common there?

I had the most fun pranking you! I thought of that in the afternoon like wow someone should do something like call and pretend they are from WDW to DD since they posted their phone number on the thread. Later I'm talking to Trentmom and she says well go ahead, do it. I said oh no I don't think I could, what should I say, hmmm, let's see...........from there we start to make the plans, we are on yahoo instant messaging me and Trentmom is giving me some things I should say, so I'd have information relevant to DD's reservation like the free Planet Hollywood pass, from there we work on the script together. I type it up on Word so I can read from it. Now comes the call!!!

I call and am holding my breath as I know I'd laugh if he answered, he didn't! What a break for me. I read the script as though I were speaking directly to him and then ended with Have a Magical Day, like he actually would after hearing that message. Then I called Trentmom and we are laughing and my call waiting goes off. I said OH NO, IT'S HIM, ITS DISNEYDAD, BYE! I take the call and compose myself and am actually able to get out "Hello, this is Leslie from Walt Disney Reservations, how may I help you?"

From that point on it was all I could do not to laugh right away! Each time I tried to answer him and repeat my script my voice started breaking so I had to stop, finally I just burst out laughing. It was too funny!

Disneydad you are one good sport!!! I wanted you to know that you are not only a pranker, you are a prankee and I got you!

I really enjoyed our brief "normal" conversation after that. You have a nice voice and it's nice to have a voice to put with a face and banter here!!! Hope Disneymom enjoyed hearing how I pranked you!!!!

My voice kept cracking at the end of each sentence when we were talking and then when I burst out laughing I was trying to hold my hand over the phone and apparently it worked if you didn't hear the laugh. But I was laughing and laughing my butt off!


Again...Really not a prankster here...But I do like a Good Prank!!!..I really only like messing with Kids...Never really been a big Pranker to adults...

Can't say as I've actually pulled many pranks in my time but this just seemed like the right thing to do, lol.

You know I never did get a funnel cake when I was there I meant to though.

I had a walking stick in my hand. I bought it at one of the vendors as the grounds were all hilly and with my back being out all week it helped get me up those hills, lol.

Hey I love hummingbirds! Mine are still around too, but someone said they would soon hitch a ride with a big bird and head further south....
What do you use for nectar (I have been buying the powder kind)

Sugar, Water & that is it....or plant some Honey suckle plants...I have one right outside My window...& I watch the Humming Birds All day!!!

I was using the nectar in a bottle it's a concentrate and you just dilute with water. Lately though I've been making my own, one cup sugar to five cups of hot water, melt the sugar in the hot water and then add some red food coloring. They are eating up a storm. I think you need to take your feeder down soon though because as long as there is a food supply they will stay and then they will freeze to death. it is an old wies tale though that they hitch a ride on the big birds. They can't fly that high or they freeze to death, they fly at a very low altitude and they scan for food on their way further south!!! I'll miss them when they go but I don't want them to die so I'll reluctantly take my feeder down soon as well. I'm further south so I have about 3 more weeks.

So here Goes...

Chapter 33: A Trip To the World of Coke!!!

I will start by saying if you lived in the south especially Atlanta...Then you will get why there is a World of Coke...However if Not then Realize that Coca Cola...Was the start of a New Era..Maybe one of the Biggest Industries ever!!!

So here Goes..

We arrive at the World of Coke...

This is the Kids...With our Friends Jack & Sue Hahn He Is the Marble Man!!!!>>>>

There is a lot of Memorabilia!!!

After Going into a staging area...You go into a theater..& watch a short cute movie about the Making of a Cold Coke...It is a long commercial basically..but very Neat!!!....

When this ends the Screen rises & you see a Halway that leads to a Large...What you think is a stuffed Polar Bear...the Image of Coke....

Well we have never been ones to fight our way to the front...so normally we lag back...& we did this time...

Kid after kid..climbs on & stands next to this Bear....& they all have their Picture taken...

Well it is finally our turn & Drew walks up & starts to stick His hand towards the Bears Mouth & Holy Cow...this thing is real....

this is the first pic...

& then we start to freak out...it was a Blast>>>>

& Finally the Whole gang with the Bear!!!

We are still startled at the fact that this stuffed Bear is actually a Real Live Bear!!! (OK it is a Person in a Bear Costume...But you get the Point!!)
