We leave on Thursday....

Yes I know we do not Ckin until Saturday ...But we leave for Orlando on Thursday..& we are staying 2 Nights outside Disney!!!

Chapter 34: More New Purchases for the Trip!!!

Up First is a Newish Bathing Suit for Lee See...

Now onto the New Purchases..

We went to the Disney Store...To Buy the Kids gift Cards..For their Spending Money...

& OF course we found New Stuff<<<<

But do Not tell the Kids...As the New Shirts are a Suprize to them!!!!

Next we have a new shirt for Anna Banana...she Loves Pooh!!!

Then Holy Cow...DisneyMom finally found an Ariel Shirt for LeeSee...& it Matches Her Hat!!!

Now Drew is tough to find stuff for...He is to old for Cars & the Like...But finding a Decent Disney shirt for Him is Hard...& then DisneyMom Found This!!!

a POTC Shirt with Japanese writing on it..Drew loves Both!!!

& She Found a shirt for Herself...

Another POTC shirt...Very Cute!!!!

& the Coup De Grass.....I went on Disneyshopping . com a while Back & got Colar shirts for Everyone...But they Had No short Sleeve availible...In my size ...& I really wanted a Lime Green one...but all they had was Small extra short!!!...so I settled for a Long sleeve...Green Shirt...

But as I walked toward the Back of the Store...what did I see but a Lime Green Short Sleeve Shirt..Hanging there Within My Reach...I ran up to it ...& what do you Know it was My Size...& it did not even have a Tag..It was a return that someone had brought back to the Disney Store.....From disneyshopping.com.......Holy Cow...I bought it...& fast!!!

Why You Really Shouldn't Use Red Coloring or Commercial "Nectar Mixes":

It has not been proven-beyond-any-doubt that the red dye is harmful to hummingbirds but since it is unnecessary to use dye if your hummingbird feeder already has some red on it, why take the chance that red dye might be bad for the birds in the long run? Natural flower nectar isn't colored, so why put something in your sugar solution that the real thing doesn't have?

As for those nectar mixes, not only are they quite a bit more expensive than ordinary white table sugar, wild hummingbirds do not need the "added vitamins and minerals". Flower nectar is, for the most part, pretty much just sugar (sucrose) water. Hummingbirds in the wild get the vital nutrients they need mainly through the insects they eat--which some scientists say could be as much as half their diet. (A hummingbird that appears to be nectaring at any particular flower may instead really be hunting the insects that are attracted to the flower.) Many hummingbird researches feel that nectar is in actuality just the fuel these birds use to power their search for bugs.

Oh wow, well just in case I won't put any in the next batch of sugar water! The feeders have red at the bottom of them so that should be enough red for them. I thought I was depriving them of what they needed by just making sugar water as opposed to buying the nectar concentrate. Guess I was wrong! The little buggers finished one of the feeders today and I filled it to the tippy top last night at dusk!!! I'm going to make them finish the other two before I give them a refill. Then in another couple of weeks down they come for their own good!
