I'm an appetizer and dessert kind of person. We will be staying 10 nights with the dining plan. I'm planning on skipping most entrees and sticking with lighter appetizers. Any suggestions for some good ones?

I like the way you think!!!!

I would suggest Kona Cafe at the Poly for dinner. We ate there last March and loved it. I'm trying to remember my appetizer - I know I loved it. And the desserts there are out of this world. They are on display and once you see them you have to painfully rule out some to pick one. Check out their menu on allearsnet.com to see if you would like it. I'll do the same and let you know what we had.

And, it's a great deal on the plan as well. Our bill was $105 and we paid $85 on the plan that day for me, DH and our 3 year old son.

Okay, here's what I had at Kona: crab cakes with pineapple salsa, medallions of filet mignon and the macadamia nut tart. My husband had the chicken wings and loved them. All the desserts looked awesome.

Don't skip the entree here - get the filet mignon and have a little bit. The medallions are small and just sample the mashed potatoes - they are fabulous.

We ate dinner here around 6:30 p.m. and stayed to watch the fireworks from the Poly. It's easy since it's on the Monorail.

That does sound good. I'll have to give the crab cakes a try. I hate to admit it but I've never had crab cakes. I know my family will love the wings.

If you have never had crab cakes, definitely give them a try. Never had them at Kona, but I LOVE CRAB CAKES, especially if they are light and have a lot of crab meat. My mouth is watering just thinking about them.
