Best Animal Kingdom Rides/Shows/Activities for 3 year old?

I agree with everyone that recommended Flights of Wonder. We never miss it. We don't always like animal shows, like the one at Universal. However, Flights of Wonder is one of the better bird of prey shows that I have seen. It's usually pretty easy to get a seat, just don't wait until the minute it starts.

My order of priority for kids that age would be:

Festival of the Lion King
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Pangani Trail (Africa)
Maharajah jungle trek (Asia)
Wildlife express train to Rafiki's planet watch
Bird Show
Finding Nemo musical--it's a great show but quite long so you just need to know your child's attention span

We find the three table service restaurants are all very enjoyable for kids that age. My three year old loves Kali River Rapids by the way but obviously not every kid that age is tall enough.

You DO NOT want to take your little one to see Bugs life! too dark and scary...Even I get scared on that one!

But, each person is different. If a parent does a bit of research on the attraction and knows (from the previous posts on this attraction) to maybe put the child towards the edge of the bench so no stinging or even hold them in their lap, and if the child can laugh off the spiders dropping from the ceiling but never touching them, and if the parent will take the child out if that parent decides the child is too scared, then why not? A lot of "ifs" in there.

Agree. And there is a nice preshow outside the theatre so you can get there about a half hour before the show time, see the preshow, and then slowly make your way into the theatre. I recommend the bleacher seats on the right, about four rows from the top and on the aisle. Just sayin'.

My kids (7 and 3) love The Boneyard! They would stay there for hours if we let them. It is a great way for adults to relax too. We also loved Nemo, although it might be a little long for a 3yo. I also agree with It's Tough To Be A Bug... it can be pretty intense.

It's tough to be a bug is scary for some kids, but is a favorite of others. You know your kid best, but in no way can/should anyone blankently say it's too scary for a three year old. It might be. It might not be.
