Of the few times I've been to Tokyo Disney, I felt like you couldn't really predict crowd levels because Japan runs on different holidays and vacation times. (By the way, beware Golden Week which is happening now.)
A friend of mine who lives in Japan just started up a very informative blog that details the best times to go to TDR. I especially found the page about crowd expectations to be true. Hopefully it will be helpful to you also.
