What do you think was the best pin released in 2003? Also what was the worst pin released?

A couple of pins come to mind, but without some more research, I don't know that this is my definitive answer. So please consider this my first offers for these categories. :p

Best:
- Skyway pin from the WDW September Event
- DA Mummy Stitch
- DA Photobooth pins -- Donald and Goofy. The others were OK, but these were standouts.

Worst:
- Some of the DLR All-American pins were too strange. Cinderella and Maleficent in patrioric frames? Huh?
- WDW Ursula mystery pin...so sad. The rack pin from the 2002 WDW event map is far superior.
- WDW Tinkerbell holiday mystery pin. Poor Tink's face is so poorly done. :(

I would like to give the WDW Tinkerbell 50th Anniversary series an honorable mention for Best 2003 series. Of the 12 pins, one or two were so-so, but overall this series includes more great pins than you usually get in one set.

Another group worth mentioning is the new series of resort pins at WDW. These pins are big, colorful, 3D, and with super characters. Many of these $8.50 rack pins are far better done than some of this year's LE1000 mystery pins. See above.

JMHO.

I have to be the first to admit, I don't see many of the multitudes of pins so I have a limited method of trying to figure out what I would answer so I just went on some of my favorites:

The catalog cover pins, I really like most of them. They look better in person than they do in a picture and there was a lot of variety to them.

On of my favorites is the new kiss series of pin, I like that they are mostly different looks to the the characters and beautiful pins as well.

I would also say, I got several Mulan pins because, wow, they had some more variety this year....heres a cheer for a variety to character poses!

I too like the Skyway pin. I think it was really well thought out.

To me, some of the nicest pins released in 2003 were the Japan Mickey & Pals Finding Nemo pins issued to commemorate the release of the DVD. The Japanese really know how to design some very attractive pins.
I also like the Lilo & Stitch "family portrait" pins, the ones that look like the "photos" over the end credits of the movie.

My favorite pin for 2003 is Pin Pics 22299: Disney Auctions - Memorial Day 2003 (Mickey Mouse).

The Finding Nemo Opening Day series are all really good. Also, while they may have come out in late 2002, I like the entire bottle cap rack pin series.
