What are the best and worst Halloween costumes you saw this year on trick-or-treaters?

For me:

Worst - I can only call it a "Thug". This kid was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up, blue jeans, carrying a grocery store bag.

Best - a group of toddlers all dressed up as M&Ms. Soooooooooooo cute.

Best dressed--little girl about 7. She had on a cowgirl costume and a red cowgirl hat and I asked her if she was Jesse from Toy Story 2. She was so excited that I knew that. She had gorgeous curly red hair pinned back under her hat:cutie:

Worst dressed--group of teenage girls. They all looked like Fredrick of Hollywood rejects. My husband was kept telling me, "honey can we give them a coat or a trashbag to put on?" Nothing like being able to see bloomers and thigh highs:scared1:

My husband's favorite was a little boy about 5. My husband asks if he is a ninja. This little boy says "I'm an ice ninja. Duh...":rotfl:

A little boy about 4 was dressed as a UPS man complete with using a box to collect his candy. It was very cute. A mom was dressed as Max from Where The Wild Things Are, which was also a very unique costume (at least the only one we saw). Many cute kids.

Then, you've got those that need more clothes on and the very young kids in very scary costumes. My dd's elementary had a costume parade. I was surprised to see young kids wearing gory masks and costumes. At school there were plenty of Freddy Kruegers (seriously, do you know the backstory to the films? Do you want your kid wearing this?), even a Jigsaw mask.

Do you live in my neighborhood? My neighbor's son had on a brown hoodie and carried a grocery store bag. I asked him what he was and he told me he was a thug. I told him he looks like he does everyday.:rotfl2: I don't mind giving out candy, but please make and effort to at least dress up.

We got one of those! He was about two and a half years old. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen.

We don't get trick or treaters at our house (to rural). We went to the aquascarium party at the aquarium and saw a really funny costume......it was a boy dressed as a great white shark with two legs sticking out of it's mouth.:rotfl:

Best- Steve Urkel, eventhough I am sure few knew who he was supposed to be.
Also, this was a college kid (not T or T-ing) walking to a bar. He was wrapped as a present with a gift tag that said- To:Women, From: God

Worst- A box. Yes, a box. It had a slit in front to see out of.

Best was a tie between one boy who was a park ranger. he had the hat and the official patches and everything with a picnic basket for candy. And then there was a Scooby Doo Family! The mom was Velma, Dad was Shaggy, one daughter was Daphne and the son was scooby. They were just one boy short of having Fred but they were all Soooo adorable. The mom had the nerdy glass, the wig, the bookbag and everything!

Worst was pretty much like the OP's worst. At least put a Jason mask on or SOMETHING! Sheesh!

Best: Twin boys, dressed as an Oreo cookie and a glass of milk.

Worst: A little girl, about 8, dressed in playboy bunny outfit... fuzzy ears, bowtie, bikinis with a big cotton ball glued on the tush. Oh, and sparkly heels. I asked her what she's suppose to be, she rolled her eyes and said, "a sexy bunny, duh!"

Well, we only had 5 kids (LOL!!) so I guess I have a limited number to pick from! The boy who came with my niece and nephew was a cowboy and he looked great! Chaps and everything! Of course I loved my nephew (he was Wes Welker) and I guess my least favorite was my niece. I don't know what she was...she was dressed all in pink that was a little too tight and had pigtails :confused3 a cheerleader maybe? The only other ones we had were a witch (very cute) and a little Batman.

Friends of ours saw a gift box To: Women From : God like someone else mentioned and also a laundry basket! It was a box around the little girl with socks etc...falling out and a sock pinned in her hair. Guess it was quite cute....

OMG! The best but also kind of creepy one we saw was a little 3 (or so) year old dressed like the puppet/Jigsaw from the Saw films. :scared1: He looked exactly like the doll-black suit, red bow tie, face makeup, small. Weird.

Saw too many winter coats this year instead of costumes!

Darned cold weather...I love to see the costumes. This year...just the winter coats...

Best: two siblings about 6-8 dressed up as a washer and dryer
worst: the many adults walking around as thugs,

I can not believe how many fully grown people I saw trick or treating with out kids. The church up the road was running low on give away items and this full group of grown ups came up in front of a handful of little kids, the Pastor looked at them and said " I only have a few left I would like for you to step aside so I can treat the little ones".

We went to our local Applebees since they had a Halloween party from 10 to 2.
The best, which won the most original, was a guy who was dressed as Dog the Bounty Hunter. He looked just like him.

The worst was a big burly guy dressed in a corset, bunny ears and a short plaid, pleated skirt. I have to say he did have guts to wear that outfit though.
