If we want to see alligators in a natural environment, I understand we should take the alligator tour, rather than go to Gatorland.

The question is which is the best alligator tour that you would recommend?

I don't know if it's the BEST, since i've only been on one....we had a very good experience with Boggy Creek airboat rides in July.

We took a private tour, so they used a smaller version of their large tour boats, and we were able to not only tour a lake, but got into small grooves and tighter edges, etc.

We loved the experience and had a great guide who spoke of birds, gators, snails, snakes, etc -

We saw a couple gators, birds, etc, a HUGE spider on a tree that had me going...TOO CLOSE, can we back up!! LOL

We would happily return there, and I'm sure we will at some point in time.

;) wear sunglasses...if you're going fast, those dragonflies will bounce right off of you!

Thanks, for the information. How did you go about booking the private tour?

it's no reservations so you just show up

super easy to get to, but about 20 mins from WDW...from the DTD exit, you make a right....go to the RIGHT, right after walmart and just keep following that straight for 15 or 20 mins...it's at the end of the road - just ride it until it dead ends into a park

the private tour wasn't much more than the regular....i think their website is something like bcairboats.com or something like that. (boggy creek)

they have two locations, but this is the one we were at (directions above)

my 15yo loved it too <---- which says a lot!

They're all probably pretty similar. :)

I've had good luck using Trip Advisor in the past, and if the reviews are good, it may be worth it

Have fun.
