Best AK Counter Service?

What's the best AK Counter Service for a quick mid-day bite. We're planning a day at AK as part of our upcoming trip, and I have ADR for early dinner at Boma, so we'll probably just want a quick mid-day snack.

Suggestions?

Gosh..I can't remember the name of the place we ate at, but it was in the Africa area I beleive. I want to say it was Tuskers. It was chicken and I foound ti to some of the best I had on the trip. They also had grapes as a side to buy and DD hadn't been eating much, but did eat those ! I think they had green beans that were really good too!

We love Flame Tree BBQ Great chicken & ribs. Just make sure you eat early (or share) or you'll be too full to really enjoy Boma

Ours used to be Tuskers, but it's now a character meal at breakfast, and a buffet at lunch and dinner. So, our current favorite is Flame Tree BBQ. There is a new one, Yak and Yeti, both sit down, and counter service., but it opened after our last trip. The menu looks promising. I'm sure there are some reviews posted on these boards.

Besides the chicken at FT we also liked the fruit plate. It was very good.

Sharing is a great trip. We do it alot.

Also, there is the standard McDonalds (Restaurantosaurus) too.

FlameTree BBQ is very good for acounter service. There are tables behind it just follow the path and you will find tables done by the pond. Very relaxing.
Yak and Yeti counter service has recently opened also.

My votes go to Flame Tree BBQ and Pizzafari.

We ate in the ts part the food was excellent. will be eating there again in october.

Now that our all-time favorite Tusker House has gone buffet, we really like Pizzafari for the Hot Italian Deli Sandwich, and the breadsticks with marinara sauce were delicious!

We used to do Flame Tree but now love the Yak n Yeti counter service. It's not called Yak n Yeti though but it is right next to the TS place. We enjoyed it much more than Flame Tree.

I would definitely not recommend Restaurantasaurus...we went waited in line to order our food for 45 minutes and then waited for the food for another 20 minutes and then stood to find a table for 15 minutes...there is not enough tables for the amount of people eating as people like to save tables when they know that the lineup is extremly long and someone else could be eating and be done by the time they get there food...I have read good things about flame tree though so I would suggest there...

I enjoy the two sandwiches at Pizzafari, but I think their pizza is gross. I also like Flame Tree but they only have outdoor seating. Its nice and shady and by the river but on a hot day, its sort of sticky!

I recommend sharing something, both places have decent size portions and you want to be hungry for Boma!

Flame Tree food is (in my opinion) the best counter service in all of DW. The only complaint is its popularity along with the ordering itself. The line can get crazy. This is more than made up for once you finally find relaxing table outside.

There aren't a lot of places to eat period especially compared to the other parks so they get very very busy. With a early ADR I'd recommend getting there pretty early, at least by 11:30 because I remember having to wait in line at the Flame Tree BBQ for 30 minutes before I was able to sit down and that was at about 12:30 that we got there. It was good though, worth the wait, sort of.

We too love Flametree BBQ. I was not a fan of Pizzafari, but cannot wait to try the new Yak & Yeti CS. As previous poster mentioned the lines at AK can get pretty long, try to get there just after they open to avoid the lunch rush.
