My brother will be travelling to WDW for 2 days in the parks with his sons (5 and 8) who both have severe allergies to sesame seeds. I have heard a lot of comments about people getting great assistance with this issue at TS restaurants, and that is probably what they would be most comfortable with.

They are not staying at a Disney resort so all of their Disney meals will be in the parks. We don't have this issue, plus I only have a girl, so I'd love to have your recommendations.

My son has food allergies as well, and every Disney restaurant is very accomodating. Just tell the waitress about the allergies and she will have the chef come out and speak to you.

Be advised though, it may take a little longer for you to get your meal. I was told by one of the Chefs, that they prepare the meal personally to ensure nothing that your son's are allergic too will touch the food. If they are busy, it may take longer.

I would suggest going to the disABILITIES Forum and look at Post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs. There is a large section in that post dealing with special dietary needs, as well as many related links. You can get directly to the disABILITIES FAQs by following the link in my signature.

Just had clients come back from WDW with a child who has multiple food allergies. Mom said all the resturants were great, no problems at all at either menu service or buffet locations. We noted all the allergies in the ADRs, and had phone numbers to call ahead of time. In every location one of the chefs came out and went over preferences, made a separate meal, or pointed out "allowed" items on the buffets.

Thanks so much. I never would have thought to look there. :thumbsup2

Sooo...now that I know how to make sure my nephews can eat safely, any recommendations for TS (character meals, maybe) for 2 boys, 5 and 8? Has to be in the parks.
