Picked up this Film Noir collection from Kroger the other day for $6.99. I've watched the 1st three movies and the 1st alone was worth the price. Just love these old films. Beats about 99% of what comes out of Hollywood today.

They also had a Detective collection which I bought, too.

Great way to pass the time in this hot weather (heat index today and tomorrow well over 100).

We have been watching a bunch of the classics from Blockbuster this summer. Casablanca, Some Like it Hot, Ziegfeld Follies, Singin in the Rain. Love, love old Hollywood!

There's just so much style and class to them.

No cheezy CGI, no camera changes every 2 seconds, no product placements, etc.

I love these old movie threads and everytime I see them, I post. There is just something about old Hollywood that gets me. So much class and style to them, back in a time when the "stars" were stars, not just celebrities.

I own alot of old movies and keep on buying them. Warner Home Video has been doing such an amazing job restoring and releasing these movies. I'm very much looking forward to the second Astaire and Rogers Volume, the 3 disc restored version of the Maltese Falcon, and a long time coming DVD release of Double Indemnity in the coming months.

Not Flim Noir but a theater downtown, the Louisville Palace, does movie series every summer. This year it's Abbot and Costello. Saw In Society yesterday afternoon.

Worth the $5 just to sit in the theater. It's gorgeous!
