Best 2 Bedroom / Best 2 Bedroom Value / Best Location at WDW

Well, there's so few of them for the most part it's not worth owning AKV for. Especially the studios which are pretty much constantly walked and there's commercial renters who target those rooms. The 1BR values though don't seem to be booked up immediately. The concierge rooms are basically the only reason why I'm holding my AKV points even though I've only been in able to stay in them a couple of times but again, likely not worth owning for 😬
Question on your post that I’ve always wondered about - can commercial rental companies actually buy points then rent them out?? That seems so unfair to individual owners

I mean..there are individual owners who rent commercially and they target value rooms because they can get like 30 dollars a point or higher on the value rooms.

I just have to wonder who is paying these prices for a smaller room.

Perhaps these companies are not advertising them as “value” and just stating it is AKL?

Just left and thought this trip would solidify where to stay next Feb. It didnt 🤣 I think I am now Beach Club, Boardwalk, or BLT. I only say BLT because the bus to Boardwalk after our MK day was not awesome at all. I love that Beach Club is less walking to Epcot and it has better food. But I loved the Boardwalk area.

Is there any resort that I won’t have to take a bus if we visit MK, HS and Epcot? I don’t think there is but want to confirm. In line for the bus we considered a Minnie Van but the wait for one was 45 minutes.

Nope! But you can walk or boat to/from Epcot and HS from Beach Club or Boardwalk, Skyliner to/from Epcot/HS from Riviera, and Monorail to/from Epcot/MK from Poly or BLT or Grand Floridian.

This is probably why people split stay. I could split and walk to 3 out of 4 of the parks from my home resorts.

Adding on: this is SO weird to state, but I find the bus to Beach Club/BW SO relaxing. It’s the beach/seagull sounds they pipe in.🤣🤣

Darnnnn. If they build a resort that has no buses to at least 3 parks I am buying.

Well, when the Skyliner was under construction there were strong rumors that plans were ultimately to extend it as far as AK. That was before Covid, so who knows whether that will ever happen. It if they did, well, you could choose between BCV, BWV, and RIV!

A few years ago, we learned a trick for someone while waiting for a Minnievan during MNSSHP and that is to order it while walking out of MK.

We ended up using this trick on our last trip sorry for being off topic.

A few weeks ago it was check out day and in the process of packing up, I had DS switch from the Air mattress to the bed so that it could get packed into the owners locker. I was expecting some resistance but instead I got "Cat tail! Cat tail! We didn't get my Cat Tail!"

Being that it was so hot we had not planned on going to the parks and just hanging out at the pool after checking out.
DS is ASD L3 so I knew this would need to be addressed or we would have meltdowns the entire day and our flight wasn't until 8:30 that night.

I informed my SO that the 2 of us were headed to MK to get a cat tail and to continue working on packing.
I ordered a MinnieVan from BWV and walked to the lobby and waited about 4 minutes.
Since it was still early I asked DS if he wanted to do Space Mountain since we were there already there and he said yes.
We grabbed a photopass photo of DS and I in front of the castle and then headed to Space Mountain.
We got on Space Mountain quickly as our DAS return time was already available.
When we got in the launch tunnel my Magic Band flew off.
When we were finished DS jumped out of the rocket and ran to scan our ride photo.
We didn't realize until we were at the gift shop that DS left his iPhone in the pouch of the rocket.
We then went back to the entrance and they were able to get his phone after about 20-30 minutes.
We then walked over to the Cheshire Cafe. As soon as DS had the cattail in hand I ordered the MinnieVan to get back to BWV. By the time we were at the place for MinnieVan pickup we only had about an 8 minute wait for ours to arrive.
We ended up getting back at 10:20 so we hurried up and finished packing and called BS to store our luggage.

This was the most stressful and costly Cat Tail ever with 2 Minnie Vans but I knew we would never make it in time with Disney busses!! I'm glad someone told me about ordering them while in the park though as it certainly saved us time.

On another note Lost and Found came through and my DVC Magicband arrived at home a few days ago. :)

I am glad you acquired the cat tail! Sometimes things are just worth spending money on. I will probably go with BWV or BCV and just plan on a Minnie Van for MK. Thanks for the tip on ordering when walking out

Actually just saw a post on Facebook, they advertised as a Disney loving family that rents their points. But they have a website set up for renting and everything.
There was a lot of talk about commercial renting at the DVC Board meetings. I really have not seen or heard anything since. Wonder if it was just all talk.

Best bang for your points will ALWAYS be BWV or BCV and nothing else remotely comes close to it. Like literally there is not an argument for another resort if your goal is value for the points you have used.

If you want to say best overall then people can disagree but best value is solidly those two and it comes down to the old school point charts.

It takes time to pull all the data and correctly verify a number of things likely. They likely are also working with their legal team on options to invoke the policy.

The issue they have to worry about is the resale market tanking and switching some direct buyers to resale since the price is depressed. They might be waiting for the current economic climate to bottom things out then throw it on to the fire?

I would say point charts and location.

You can stay for less points elsewhere (even if BWV resort view) but no easy park access.
