Besides Playhouse Disney, what is there for a 2 1/2 yr. old at DCA?

Are there rides in the kids section that don't have height requirements that she will enjoy? This is my niece and I know my BIL & SIL won't want to stay at DCA for very long if their little one is miserable.

Our not very adventuresome 2 1/2 year old liked King Triton's carousel, Muppets, Goofy's (or whoever "owned" the show) show, and Aladdin.

She did not care for the ladybug ride in Bug's Land at all (it was pretty violent for her). So we skipped on trying some other small kid rides back on the pier area.

A Bug's Land was built for kids and at 2 1/2 she should be able to ride most of the rides. The bumper cars have a height restriction, but there is a train and Flik's Flyers which soar in the air. There is also a puddle park if it's a hot day and you don't mind her getting wet. She would also probably like the Redwood Trail area. She might be a little young for some of it, but there are slides and a cave (spoiler below) and trails. They also have a story time there which I've never seen. At Paradise Pier there's the carousel and the whole family can ride the Sun Wheel (I like the non swinging cars). There's also the Jumpin' Jellyfish, which is pretty gentle, but there may be a height restriction.

There is a cave in the Redwood Trail area that has a spot near the back of it that is higher than the rest of the cave. If you stand up a bear will roar at you. It's a bit loud and might scare a little one, but for adults it's hilarious to hear them scream!

Thanks for the hint :D I'll have to show it to my kids :D :D

Okay...I think it depends on what type of a 2 1/2 YO we are talking about here. Toddlerhood is a tricky time. Some toddlers are still in a very 'baby' stage and some are closer to preschoolers. I have a 2 1/2 YO and a barely 4YO. We generally do the following...

The animation building. They love the foyer LOL. 2YO likes the Mushu show. 4YO likes the art gallary and the drawing. They both like the spinny things and the Ursella (sp?) voice thing. When there is room at the computers, 4YO likes that but it's usually to busy.

They like the Alladin show....I find it terrible so we avoid it when we can :D They do both think it's great though :)

They like the Mickey and Friends show in Hollywood.

2YO likes the Muppets show. 4YO thinks its scary (very 'sensitive' child :D)

Both LOVE Flicks Fun Fair. Neither is old enough for the bumper cars, which ticks them both off. The Lady bug ride is pretty rough. It's like Tea Cups on steriods. My kids like it though :) They like the flying thing...but LOVE the catipillar ride.

4YO LOVES the bakery tour and likes the tortilla tour. 2YO likes that they give her food :)

2YO likes Golden Dream....4YO doesn't

both like the carosel

Both like the 'everyone wins' fish game on the board walk....you have to pay for it though. $2 I think

2YO LOVES the ferris Wheel. 4YO only likes the carts that don't move.

They both like the wilderness trails....and that's all I can think of right now :)
