Never done a trip report or a pre-trip so no time like the present to start!

The Dates
September 14-20th, 2008
Holiday Inn Suites in Anaheim

I've never been to DL before but fell in love with the parks again during a recent CP trip and got bumped off my flight during my April trip to WDW so I figured "why not go to DL with the ticket?" and here I am just two months away from again being at one of the happiest places on earth. I am also going to celebrate a late birthday and also as an early upcoming graduation present to myself!

The Plan So Far...
9/14 - Arriving at 6:30pm at LAX from Seattle, right now just planning on catching something to eat in the airport then head to my hotel to rest and prepare myself for the following morning!

9/15 - I haven't decided (I keep on changing my mind) on if i'm going to go to Universal or not. If I do go today would be the day, if not then as hard as it will to not want to just run into DL I plan to start the day at DCA and get TSMM and ride Soarin like a billion times in a row! hehe

9/16 - Today I plan on using my MM to enjoy Fantasyland without the crowds. I also am planning on getting a PS for the Blue Bayou for lunch to try the Monte Crisco for today!

9/17 - Sprint to Nemo first thing in the morning!

9/18 - Plan on having breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen but not sure on what time I want to go yet, either early in the morning to beat the crowds (but bennyb98 tends to get cranky early in the morning) or later so I can go to the parks first. Any ideas?

9/19 - Commando park opening to midnight closing
9/20 - Saying goodbye to LA and flying back to Seattle. Leave LAX at 1:30 so I can sleep in a little bit.

Any ideas or suggestions for a DL newbie would greatly be appreciated! And if you are at the parks during my visit and see a twenty something grown kid walking around wearing a Birthday, First Visit Button, Peter Pan hat and a big smile be sure to stop and say HI!

Now have PS for Blue Bayou on Sept. 15th at 2pm. She also asked if I was celebrating anything and was told I would get a free dessert for my birthday!

We go in August ! I'm posting a pre - trip report myself ...

My suggestion would be that you visit UNIVERSAL !! Quite different of course from Mickey's parks - but I guess you'll love them !! I would give them a try, if I were you !! Great atmosphere ... more oriented to grown-ups and lively attractions !!!

For the Goofy's kitchen ... I would hit the parks FIRST thing early in the morning ; you can do more attractions in the morning - first two hours - than in the whole day ... with long queues ...

Thank you! I think I'll try and get one of the last available openings for breakfast so I can go some in the parks first, but again the parks don't open until 10 am either so who knows, I may try for 9 am.
