So are there any Bengals fans out there??? If so, is anyone else as outraged as me that they are keeping Marvin Lewis? I am so mad!!! I swear that man does nothing but stand on the sidelines and shows about as much emotion as a doornail.

But given I don't live in Cincinnati - I live in Steeler Country.... I'm not up on what everyone else is thinking.

Am I crazy? DH keeps laughing at me, since he was the one that told me and I've been screaming to fire Marvin Lewis for months. But he's also probably laughing since his team is going to the playoffs again, and my team hasn't been to a playoff game or won a playoff game in years.

Lewis might not be the right coach but until Mike Brown sells the Bungles they have no chance.

Mike Brown is the problem, has always been the problem and will always be the problem. And unfortunately his daughter Katie won't be any better when he passes the team on to her.

I do think Marvin needs to go though. And I think Palmer needs to go too. And as much as I enjoy Chad's antics, he should probably go also.

But having grown up a Bengals fan, and am doomed to be a Bengals fan for life because I'm a Cincinnati girl, I'll just say what I've been saying for the past decade "maybe next year will be our year."

I agree!!

A long time ago though, I realized that just because I live in the Cincinnati area, I don't have to be a Bengals fan. I prefer to think of where I would rather be. Dolphins, Bucs and Jaguars get my attention. :thumbsup2

Oh brother. I had no idea about that!!!!! It's the same problem as the stinkin Pirates.

Yep, pretty much what you said...right down to the "Cincinnati girl" part.

Carson is past his prime, He injured his knee, and can't drive off his back foot, or plant well, effecting his pass. He would make a good QB coach, but no longer a player.

Ochocinco is still a great receiver. No one can make a catch in traffic like he does. Watch him in slo-mo, he has the best mechanics of ANY player in the game today. I dont think he's a hotdog, he just loves playing the game. If he was on a winning team, he would be Hall Of Fame Material.

Our house bleeds black and orange and no I'm not outraged. Mike Brown is the problem. Period. With him there Marvin Lewis is the best we could do. No way would we get a Gruden, Cowher or any other top of the line coach. Brown would never give them the power that they would want or deserve. We had gone 15 years without a winning record before Lewis. He's taken us to 2 division titles. I don't think he is the problem.

As far as Palmer goes I'm not quite ready to send him down the river with no oars just yet. While he is most definitely not the QB he was before the blown knee, he also hasn't had an easy street. Our OL struggles and 85 is more interested in being a celeb then running routes. Not to mention the hole Chris Henry left. I can't even begin to describe my disappointment with this season. But we completely got away from what allowed us to sweep the division last year, running the ball. Too much emphasis was placed on TO and Palmer tried to force the ball too many times.

Ochocinco and Owens both need to go, no doubt. But I think we'd benefit most by seeing Bratkowski gone. Besides Brown he is our biggest problem. High school and predictable play calling just doesn't cut it in the NFL. But since Brown is loyal (and cheap!) to a fault he's not going anywhere.

Call me a hopeless optimist but I have hope in our young receivers. We had a great draft in 2010.

We went to the playoffs last season. I froze my butt off watching them self destruct at Paul Brown Stadium.:sad2:

I used to love 85, especially when he was still Chad Johnson. I have lost some respect for him over the last 2 seasons. I feel like if he put in the effort to run routes with his QB that he puts into becoming a celebrity (and whining) he'd be HOF material.

I know, I know, I'm drinking the kool aid!:rotfl2: Like I've said for years our time will come and it will be sweet.

I'm a little surprised too, but I don't think Marvin Lewis is the problem here, it's player personnel. There are too many distractions, arrests, and me firsts on the team for them to be successful. TO and Ocho-stinko both need to showboat somewhere else. Carson is functional, but not really good.

As long as Mike Brown owns the team, at least my Browns have a chance to win 2 Sundays a season.

Same here: I live in Buffalo and the Bills sucks! I am a Colts fan, love Peyton Manning.;)

The Brown family is a big part of the problem. As for the bungles, they led the league in arrests for how many seasons? If you add in the stupidity of building an outdoor stadium on the riverfront when a dome would have helped increase convention traffic, the entire bungle program is a failure. Remember, the taxpayers were hooked into giving the bungles money if a set ticket sale percentage was not reached. Neither Mike Brown, nor his daughter, have any clue when it comes to assembling a winning team. Very sad when you consider the success that team had 20 years ago. They are very good at running a taxpayer subsidized business.
