Benefits of DCR

This is a bit of a silly post so I apologise but I'm driving myself a bit silly getting cross! We have booked Davey Crockett Ranch for the first week in December as the Marriott Village didn't have availabilty. Well stupid me looked again last night (I was really just having a look for next time so why I put the dates in I don't know!) and they have availablity now! It's also only 119 Euros a night special offer so not only would it be more luxurious, we'd have a washer/dryer, fitness club, lovely swimming pool (the DCR one will be closed when we are there), it would be cheaper too!!!! I'm trying to think of advantages of DCR to make myself feel better so any suggestions gratefully received! Can you walk from DCR to Disney Village?

From what it says in the brochure its a 10-15 minute drive (so a good few miles) from DCR to Disney Village and the parks. From what I remember from our albeit only trip to DLRP, I wouldn't want to be walking along the ringroads around the resort as they are pretty busy without footpaths.

DCR you are on Disney property so still feel part of the magic along with the benefits such as Hotel ID and shopping delivery service

Ummm......DCR will have characters.

DCR will have park tickets included in price. You will have to buy tickets if staying at Marriott.

Is the difference in price considerable?

Oh, Carrie, now I feel bad.... I booked the Marriott for this weekend on spec as all the Disney properties are sold out, but now may stay over in Paris for a few days longer and if so, I'll be cancelling my nights at the Marriott!

I suppose that your DCR stay is booked and nonrefundable, or I would happily hand over my reservation if I do end up changing dates.... I think that I'll find out tomorrow... If you CAN still cancel your booking, keep trying the Marriott or PM me
