Benefit to MK ADR?

I'll preface by saying this might be a stupid question... Is there any benefit to beating the crowds to 7DMT at rope drop by booking a morning ADR at MK, since they moved the rope drop location closer?

Yes if you want to schedule it early enough and be done eating before the rope drop crowd is let free.

The concept remains the same even though the new morning process is in the actual park

Having never done a morning reservation in the park, do they allow you to wander once you're finished eating? Like could I finish eating at BoG and head over to 7DMT and get in line before the park opens?

Def. not for Crystal Palace, it sounds like the other 2 are generally about the same as before, so BoG and Cinderella Castle may be helpful, if you get out in time.

We are keeping our 8:05 Be Our Guest ADR after reading reports that, if out early enough, we may still have a small advantage for getting to 7DMT before the masses.

You can't go into the entire park but yes if you're done in time you could get to 7Dmt before rope drop crowd

Correct

Unless you have an adr that's past the rope drop crowd. So for instance once you're down with BoG, even though the park isn't open, they allow you 99% of the time to leave the restaurant and either ride 7dmt or line up to ride it

That's generally true, but if you have a pre-packaged opening at BOG, you will be allowed beyond Main St in order to get to the restaurant and, if done quickly enough, may then be able to make it to 7DMT before the crowds.

And I'll just add that breakfast at BOG is fast - 30 to 35 minutes tops if you pre order.

Don't be disappointed if your plan doesn't work out. On rare occasions, SDMT has a delay in opening. It happens a few times a year.
