It was Catherine (TDC Nala) who came up with that; she translated La Cava Tequila and Ditch of Tequila was one of the literal options ... she shortened it to Ditch and the name has stuck ever since!

Hi there Bendy & her Friendies!!! I have a quick question- over on my latest TR, we have been discussing "the Ditch" and trying to figure out which one of you brilliantly witty and clever women came up with the title...sooo....who do we have to thank?

Very sad you won't be going next year but I understand needing a break. Food and Wine will be there in 2012!

My dad is doing lots better and I am really glad I am able to take my trip! Looking forward to the holiday stuff and being there for my birthday -- both things I have never done before

I'm looking at that week too! I'm going to try and figure out my dates once I get back from this trip.

I leave in the morning and I'm pretty much packed -- just a few last minute things to do. Of course I don't really feel like I'm going to Florida having packed my scarf, gloves, Uggs, and I even threw in a couple of sweaters for good measure. I had to also throw in a bathing suit and a pair of shorts. I don't think I'll use either but at least it made me feel better! At least is will be warmer than here in NJ!

Woke up to some good news this morning...

My nephew Mark is getting married this summer...

Probably when I want to go on the Med cruise in July...

So I guess I have to go back to TX in the summer again...

I have been craving a peppermint martini. don't know why... I have never had one! So, today I bought some Pinnacle Whipped Cream Vodka and Peppermint Schnapps. 1 oz. of each is pretty darned tasty! I think it needs some Creme de Menthe and/or grenadine too. But this will do for now. It may be all I accomplish tonight!

Hi Everyone!

I left Disney late Friday after a wonderful week there. I met Robin a few times and have a new favorite drink, from the standard Disney cocktail menu. It's called a Red Grape Sensation - Red Grape Hibiscus Vodka, Cranberry Juice, Lime Juice, Agave Nectar, and Soda Water - it's sooooo good!

The food was mostly excellent, but I will do a review soon.

Weather was very cold for FL most of the days but I think it helped keep people out of the parks in the early mornings and evenings.

I had such a great time and am visiting friends in Tampa now. I was super sad to leave Disney and am so glad I am going back in about a month!

Right now I'm infusing vodka with jalapenos, I guess I should look for something to do with it.

My DH makes me a Jalapeno Martini that is really nice, so I am sure you could many things to do with that infused Vodka...
