DH is stuck in the lovely St. Louis airport tonight :headache: He was supposed to land here in Charlotte at 9:20pm edt but the plane broke so they have to wait for a new one to come in. Won't land here till after 12:30am now :headache:

I'm thinking "special" coffee might be in order now :goodvibes

that sucks for your hubby ... food options are not so hot at Lambert International (or so they think) Airport. I'm sorry to hear he's stranded. And yes ... methinks some caffeinated alcohol is just what the doctor ordered. :thumbsup2

Ok, we just had bad Chinese food for the second Friday night in a row. :headache: Our standby place closed, so last week we tried a new buffet--too many things, so nothing really done well (I did try a frog leg.) Tonight tried another carryout place nearby and it was so greasy and yuck. The only thing that was good was the little cream cheese wanton things. I just want to whine because I can't find good Chinese anymore!

I know what you mean. There used to be this great Chinese place about two blocks away from my house, but it closed awhile ago. At least there's another Chinese place in town that is half decent.

OK ... I've gotta share this because it's pee in your pants funny. I think everyone here will be OK with this but if it offends ... well, I apologize but I still think it's funny. :lmao:

The Beer Prayer

Our lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink.
Thy will be drunk, (I will be drunk),
At home as it is in the tavern.
Give us this day our foamy head,
And forgive us our spillage,
As we forgive those who spill against us.
And lead us not into incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers.
For thine is the beer, the bitter and the lager.

Yeah, he's not real thrilled with your aiport. Nevermind the food, they got kicked out of the bar at 8pm--not for anything exciting but because the bar closes at 8pm :scared: What idiot decided that everything in the airport should close at 8? Unfortunately his 6:30 flight is now scheduled for almost 11pm central time getting into Charlotte at 1:40am edt. Even worse, it's his 3rd flight of the day. Left San Diego this morning, connected in Phoenix to STL to CLT (hopefully) but I have a bad feeling he'll be staying at the Marriott tonight :sad2:

Must be Chinese night  I grabbed some while I was at work (at the tax place) It was ok, not great but convenient-- it's right next door to the office.

I'm going to write that one down and recite it in October outside the Hops & Barley stand in Epcot. :rotfl2:

I was looking at some local micro-brewery websites and found that posted there ... had to share it with my friendies! :thumbsup2

What do y'all think of Biergarten? I'm having a hard time deciding where to eat on Epcot days for our Dec. trip. I'm thinking it would be fun, but how is the food really? I do not eat any kind of cased sausage product, if that helps!:rotfl2: (not even Jimmy Dean sausage links) I'm finding myself wanting to go back to the same places I already like, but I feel like I should branch out a little.

Here's what I'm thinking for the rest of the trip for sit down meals:

Day 1, MK--CRT lunch
Day 2, EP--Rose and Crown dinner
Day 3, DS--50's Prime Time lunch, Beaches and Cream dinner
Day 4, MK again--'Ohana dinner
Day 5, visiting resorts for Christmas decor--maybe Kona breakfast or tea room lunch at GF instead, Jiko dinner?
Day 6, EP again--

There's so much Christmas stuff I want to do and see, it seems I'm having trouble finding time to eat! :lmao: Thought about the Cp package for one night in Epcot, but the prices are killing me, knowing what we'd probably spend just for a regular dinner at one of the places. I'm thinking maybe we'll try to do the standby line on the first EP day since it's a low crowd day. The 2nd Epcot day is supposed to be a 9 on the crowd calendar.
