Belly Up to the Bar With Bendy and Her Friendies!!! Button Pics & New Thread Started!

alright, so i was linked up to this thread by tigerkat, and figured it's about time i jump in.

what really got my attention was everyone making trips down in october for food & wine. the dates i want to go are tues oct 13 - wed oct 21. i have a flight on hold with skymiles right now, but it expires tonight at 11pm.

i'm also trying to convince my best friend aaron to come with me.

and here's the thing too...i'd like to rent DVC points, but i don't think anything is available for those dates anywhere near epcot. so i'm thinking i might use my CM friend's CM discount for POP instead.

i'm sorry for being totally off topic, i just needed somewhere to think out loud. back to your regularly scheduled programming!

Just wanted to say that the Twilight party pics were awesome! :goodvibes Thanks for the recipes, too! :thumbsup2 Definitely gonna try this one soon! (I've heard of puppy chow, but never knew how to make it! LOL! :rotfl:)

A&A's Grammy,

Here's the recipe for the "Wolf Kibble"

Wolf Kibble or Chex® Muddy Buddies®
Another popular name for this favorite mix is "puppy food". Chow down; it's doggone good!

Prep Time:15 min
Start to Finish:15 min
Makes:18 servings (1/2 cup each)

9 cups Corn Chex®, Rice Chex®, Wheat Chex® or Chocolate Chex® cereal (or combination)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Substitution
Peanut butter and chocolate are a favorite flavor combo, but peanut butter lovers can substitute peanut butter chips for the chocolate chips to intensify that flavor.

1. Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
2. In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
3. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

I don't think there can be O/T posts here, we chat about food, booze, trips, parties.....;)

Nothing is off topic here ... and the more folks who can meet up with us all at some time in October the better! I'd love to have a chance to meet you! :goodvibes

I don't think it qualifies as religious wine if it comes out of a bottle and is served by college students wearing fake tuxedos. I dunno ... do they serve merlot at communion? :rotfl2:

Only at the 8am service. Not everyone wants to get up early, but they found a better vintage had a direct effect on attendance. :rotfl2:

I bet attendance would really spike if parishoners had their choice of beverage. :lmao: Wine ... vodka ... rum ... scotch ... all of the above. ;)

yeah, I think she makes me look sober. :lmao:

And you make me look like I'm in AA...

It comes out of a box...

I hear Mimosas are appropriate...

& at the Polish service at my old church...it was pierogis...

Are you going the second week??? It's the Pop Warner week... and the weekends get a bit crowded because all the locals come to see the decorations, etc.

Don't forget to go and see the fireworks from the beach at the Poly for MVMCP because you get to see the perimeter ones (even if you do go to the party itself...) the fireworks from the poly on those special nights are literally wall to wall from the GF to the Contemporary... Here's a link to the ending so you can see what I mean... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q6wx0z1HsM

No, we're going the 15th-22nd so dd will only miss 3 days of school. From what I've read here, we'll get to see Holiday Wishes when they start to show it nightly after the parties are over. The parade, too, if I'm not mistaken. I had thought about watching it from the Poly one night, too, b/c I want to try 'Ohana's. Thanks so much for the tip about the beach being crowded--I had no idea! Our last two days have me a teeny worried about the crowds overall, but I think I'll take one of those days to tour resorts and see the decorations.

Hey guys ... I just posted the Kitchen Conversation review w/ Robert Irvine on the smelly thread.

Be warned ... it's a bitter bendy who wrote it but I had to be honest and it sucked for us!

Citricos is the last review I have to write and it will be awesome! :thumbsup2

I'm just trying to get to 7700 posts before I go to bed.

lalalalalala .... beer!
