distingushing features to you. My DD wants to take her Alice costume, but I fear everyone will think she's Belle and it will hurt her feelings, LOL. What distinguishes the two for you?

Can you tell me where you found a blue Belle costume? I am searching for an Alice costume and having trouble finding one here (TN) and we are leaving in 10 days! If they look that similar, I'm thinking DD can wear it to the Wonderland Tea Party.

Thanks! :)

The Alice costumes that I saw children in at Disney were very 'Alice'. I wouldn't mistake it for Belle. Plus, they had some embroidery at the bottom of the aprons that helped.

My daughter has dressed as Alice before.. and she wore the black bow in her hair along with black shoes... I don't know if that helps too much.. but everyone knew she was Alice.

WE bought DD the Alice costume at WDW in June. It is blue and has ALICE embroidered on the bottom. That still didn't stop a few CMs referring to her as Belle! DD kept having to show them the word Alice. You could get her the black bow Alice wears in her hair.

I bought both of my daughter's Alice dresses on eBay. They are the retired ones they used to sell in the parks years ago, and I love them!! The quality is the best. They are hard to find but if you search you can ususally find one. Alice and the White rabbit are embroidered on the front. Then I made the matching hair bow- so cute!!

Belle wears a white blouse with a blue jumper dress over it and a white apron tied around her waist (no chest covering with the apron) bare legs and black flats. She wears her hair tied back in a blue bow.

Alice wears a blue dress with puff sleeves and a white smock/apron over it that does have a chest part. She also wears white tights and black mary jane or black flats with ankle straps. Her hair is down and she has a black ribbon band in her hair.

Hope this helps.

Belle's outfit is a jumper with a circle skirt; the white blouse has 3/4 sleeves and a spread collar. No socks or tights.

Alice's outfit is much more "little girl flouncy", with the short pouf sleeves and the peter-pan white collar on a dress with a gathered skirt, worn with tights.

To the casual onlooker, the key is always the hair. Belle's is brown and worn in a ponytail, and Alice is a blond, with that signature black "Alice band" holding it back off her forehead.

Hmmm, I never thought that the two could be mistaken for one another! MY mom is making an Alice dress for my DD to wear to MNSSHP on 10/5... but I don't think anyone will mistake her for Belle when I'll be wearing a Queen of Hearts costume and DH will have on an enormous Mad Hatter's hat! :rotfl:

I'd suggest just making sure she has the black headband and shoes... It's be obvious she's Alice then! :goodvibes

Alice's is more like a blue dress with white smock.

Let's also not forget that Belle's dress is a lot longer than Alice's.
:)
BTW- makinorlando- great pics :)

DD wore the same dress as Alissa's daughters did. People clearly knew she was dressed as Alice...especially the Mad Hatter who kept yelling that she was an imposter!

Thank you all so much! I won't forget the big black ribbon in her hair and the tights. I just know DD would be crushed if people kept on calling her Belle :rotfl: :rotfl: because she simply adores Alice!! thanks!
