When we were there in Feb we had the GF bakery make one up to test.

Hi! Can you tell/PM me about ordering that gorgeous cake you guys tried at the GF? Did you have it delivered to a restaurant or were you staying at the GF? Was it the $25 one that serves 8, or do they have a smaller size? I ask because my favorite tip for Intimate brides is to order a cake like you did so they can taste it without paying $75 for a tasting session - and I'm dying to know if that idea actually works!

Lurkyloo- Just to let you know the cake was in fact the $25 one. We were going to go to lunch at the Grand Floridan Cafe so we ordered a cake. Buttercream and white chocolate on the inside. They told me the top layer would also be white chocolate with milk chocolate mixed through! It was positively DIVINE!!!!!! That was the best $25 we ever spent! Also it let us give our MOH and BM an idea about how amazing the Disney wedding cake is!
We actually ended up cancelling the lunch and went and picked up the cake anyway! If you have any other questions I would be happy to assist

Hi ladies I just wanted to say thank you for all the great ideas you have given me so far!!!!! I think we are going to go with the chocolate covered espresso beans! DIS ladies & gentleman ROCK!

Here is a photo of the roses I want for my bouquet only A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN this!!!!!! These are the colours though Green roses (Jade) and Orange ones!

I will post my dress for the engagement and the accessories soon!

Anyone have any advice about the kind of shoes I should get if my engagement dress is turquoise? Here is a pic of the necklace I am going to wear with my dress. This is my grandmothers and she gave it to me so I am honoured to wear it to celebrate our engagement.

Sorry for the delay in writing too many things are happening right now! We are now three weeks away from the engagement party. My FIL's will be coming to Canada for the first time and we are trying to plan out the trip for them. Everything is working out so far for the engagement but one of my cousins (the one who has a litter of children) called and said they are not able to make the engagment. They made up the excuse that the kids have a baseball tournament. I later found out they were mad that they could not bring the kids to the engagement and so decided not to come! Whatever! It doesn't matter since everyone who truly wants to be there will be!

Today we were very excited since we found the place card holders for the engagement party. Here is a photo tell me what you think!

Also we are putting together the favors for the guests. Espresso cups filled with chocolate covered confetti. I hope everyone will like them!

Angela AKA Cinderella Fan has just been amazing at putting together our wedding logo as well. Thank you Angela you are amazing!

One a side note I feel so useless as right now there is nothing else we can do with respect to the DFTW just wait until Sep when we can start chosing everything.

I LOVE the place card holders! Too cute! What kind of picture are you going to put in? I love the espresso cups as well....do you mean that they will be filled with chocolate covered espresso beans? Or is it really choc. covered confetti? Either way, they are adorable! What are your colors?

I hear you on feeling like you can only do so much. I think I am getting to that point until my WC is assigned. Of course, I am not having a custom, so there will not be as many choices for me to decide on!

Holy cow we went from no favors complete to 40....Not that it is a lot since there is still 70 more to complete. We figure that we can have them done by next weekend if we continue doing 10 a day. I can't believe how close the engagement party is! It feels like a wedding itself! My dress has still not arrived and at this rate my wedding dress and engagement dress might be ready at the same time!!!!!

Here are some photos of the finished product!

TexasCourt- The confetti I mentioned are actually chocolates covered with white candy coating. We wanted to do the espresso beans but we thought that they might melt before they get to the golf club for the party. Also in the frames I posted we are going to put the guests names and table number rather than a photo.

We are also going to use this photo blown up and plaqued for the guests to sign instead of a book.
