We are doing dinner at the GF with Cinderella and the Prince. We are going to do the BBB before we go. I don't want DH to have a heart attack at the package cost with the costume, but I don't want Makenna to feel left out without a costume so I wanted to bring one with us for her to wear.

The issue is that she is extremely sensitive to costumes being scratchy or itchy. I have searched and searched and found some amazing Belle costumes, but coming up empty for Cinderella. I would love her to be Belle. She has more Belle coloring then Cinderella. But since the event is with Cinderella, I think she'll get more attention if she is in a Cinderella costume.

I'm stumped as to what to do! Keep looking for Cinderella, or go with Belle. Feel free to laugh at me and tell me it really doesn't matter. I'm used to it.:rolleyes1

She likes Belle and Cinderella equally so I don't think she really cares one way or the other.

She loves Ariel best, but I've already gotten her an Ariel custom.

WDYT?!?!?! Would she get more attention from Cinderella at dinner if she is dressed in a Cinderella costume? Or should I go with Belle since she has more Belle coloring.

You know what it isn't going to matter if she's Cinderella or Belle. The kids all get the same amount of attention. The characters don't stay at your table that long because they just can't and get to everyone (with any luck more then once). I say if you can find good Belle costumes buy it and be done. I see all kids of Princesses at 1900 PF not just Cinderellas. Your DD would make an adorable Belle!

I agree with the PP, I don't think it would matter either way if she were Belle or Cinderella. We were at 1900 Park Fair in Dec. and saw all sorts of princesses, and tinkerbells and Minnie Mice for that matter. Have fun!

I also think you should go with Belle.............a comfortable girl is a happy girl.......some of the material is soooo scratchy!! she will make a beautiful Belle!!:cutie:

I LOVE you lil girls Ariel outfit in your sig picture....can you please tell me how to get one?? My lil one is in love with Ariel!!

Thanks so much>>>annabug:cutie:

I agree with PP. :thumbsup2 WHERE did you get that adorable outfit? My dds and my nieces would love it!!!!

PS...please don't say you made it ;)

let me tell you, my daughter was dressed as Belle for dinner with Cinderella and she talked to her as if she was Belle and how nice it was for her to come to visit. Cinderella was Great!! I think do what is most comfortable

I agree with all the PPs. 1900 PF is our fave restaurant and we go each trip- sometimes twice! Anyway, my daughter has dressed as Cinderella once. I would say the same amt of attention was paid to her dressed as Cinderella or any other princesses.

Prince Charming did call her "My Princess" when she was Cinderella, but that's about the only special attention she received. But other times he would refer to his "other prince friends" when she was dressed as Ariel, Snow White, Aurora or Belle.

Your daughter would be a beautiful Belle! Very cute!

I would go with Belle. Seems she would probably be more comfy as Belle and it won't matter to the characters either way...like OP said, they spend about the same amount of time with everyone. :upsidedow

If you're looking for a non-scratchy Cinderella dress, you may want to check this site out:

www.mydressuptrunk.com

I bought my DD5 a Cinderella dress from there for our WDW trip last year and it was a beautiful, soft dress. We're going to WDW again this November and I've already bought my DD a Sleeping Beauty dress from this same place, as well as other princess dresses for some of her friends for their birthdays.

Well I told you this somewere else (wink wink) but I think I would want Cinderella cause my kid would freak if she were the only belle in the room. :) It's fun to see you somewere else! :)

Hi Melissa! :wave2: We have already talked about this elsewhere... ;)

I say go with that amazing Belle dress you saw on Ebay, and then get a Cindy dress from My Dress Up Trunk. Makenna can wear them both while you are at WDW. princess:

I took Mamaof2Princesses advise and ordered the Cinderella dress from mydressuptrunk.com. It is very soft and lightweight, it will be perfect for my DD4 when we do CRT & BBB in September.

I say ask her who she would like to be when she meets the princesses and go with that, you can't go wrong then. No matter how she is dressed she will be doted on by the characters! princess:

I will agree with everyone else and say go for the Belle dress. Two reasons I say this...first, on two different visits to this restaurant Belle was actually present at the dinner, so that would be a thrill for a Belle lover.

Second, on our trip in September 2006 dd6 was at BBB before our dinner. She had the hair, makeup, and nail package, but we brought our own dress from home. Dd loves Cinderella, but she is a pink lover so she always, always prefers the Aurora dresses and that is what she wore this day.

In some ways I think dd garnered more attention because she did stand out in a sea of blue, and the kiddos just look so awesome after BBB (dd had the princess diva hair do LOL) that people every where stop and comment...it is like walking with royalty!

The cutest moment was when another little girl and her dad approached dd at the GF dinner and asked if the daughter (about 4) could have a picture with our dd...our dd made her best princess pose and thought she was just like the Disney princesses and she even offered her autograph (which the other little girl happily accepted) LOL It was really cute!

So go with what works and I am sure all will be magical :-)

I agree with the PP, I don't think it would matter either way if she were Belle or Cinderella.

This poster is absolutely correct!! :thumbsup2

We eat dinner at 1900 PF every trip...in fact, we're eating there 2 weeks from tonight!! :yay:

**BTW, your DD is adorable!!
