Which one do you prefer? I know that the Bellagio is right in the middle of the strip, I am unsure of Caesars. What are the pros and cons of each? This would be my first time visting Vegas, so I am just staring to research. Which has a better location, room, layout pool etc?

Caesars is an older property that has a lot of different wings and towers. Their oldest rooms date from the 60s and their newest rooms are less than 2 years old. When you reserve your room, ask what your options are and if you can get a rate that guarantees you a nicer (newer) room.

Bellagio opened in 1999 and expanded with its Spa tower about 3 years ago. If they try to sell you a room with a "partial lake view", it's in the spa tower. The rooms are just as nice as the ones in the original tower. Lakeview rooms will cost more. If it's important to you to watch the fountain show, then I would pay for the upgrade.

Both of these properties are on the corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd. and are considered center strip. They are both destination resorts that have so many things to do that if you come for 2 - 3 days there's no real reason to leave the property. They are also both tourist attractions in that people who stay all over the city go to Bellagio and Caesars to sightsee, shop, take pictures and do what tourists usually do. Caesars has the Forum Shops for incredible shopping; and Bellagio has its conservatory, art gallery and its own shopping area that while not quite a mall you can window shop at stores like Tiffany. Bellagio's entertainment is O by Cirque du Soliel and Caesars is between headliners right now as Celine Dion has closed her show and Bette Midler is supposed to open in a few months.

They both have beautiful pools.

They both have layouts that make you walk through the casino to get to your room, unless you are housed in one of the oldest wings at Caesars.

If it were me, I'd stay at Bellagio.

I would take Bellagio over Caesars.
