Now that the fall leaves are appearing and pumpkin seems to be chic again, it got me thinking about the annual threads here on the boards where people "give thanks" for the special individuals or things in their lives. Instead of waiting until November to be thankful, I thought it would be nice to think about it more often. Life has its ups and downs, but it's important to focus on the good rather than the bad. What is something that you are thankful for this week? Why?

I am thankful that my pre teen daughter wanted me to take her tent camping this past weekend, just the two of us. Didn't matter that it rained, we had a great time and used the rainy day for a road trip through the white mountains and just relaxed. I"ll take those moments whenever she wants to spend time with her dad! :thumbsup2

GREAT post Nikki! :flower3:

This week I am super thankful for my job.
I love it, it pays well & is really flexible which allows me to attend all of my DD's kindergarten events, work from home on Fridays & pretty much set my own hours.

I am thankful for more things than I have time to write about this morning!
However two biggies are that I am thankful that God loves and cares for me and that I have a beautiful loving wife and daughter that we enjoy just being together.

Great Post!

Great idea for a thread!

I have a great family - dh, ds and all our extended family!

Even though I've been out of work for a year, the platiunum lining is that I've gotten to spend the year with ds while he's little and get to watch him learn and grow every day! I would have missed a lot of little things if I'd been working. Plus we've managed to be still in really good financial shape even with me out of work for so long, so that's a blessing too! :wizard:

Great thread....I'm thankful for my family.

I'm thankful for DW/Family, Disney and Metal my life would be meaningless without all 3 :thumbsup2

Thankful for meeting my wife at WDW. What more could a person ask?

Meeting all of you great people as well is just a plus. :grouphug:

Great idea.

I am thankful that my husband (who is a magician) tells me how to do tricks... in exchange for 18 months of me making coffee every morning. :lovestruc We have a very symbiotic relationship.

I am thankful for my DH, my 2 grown children and 7 grandchildren.
I'm thankful that I am able to come to WDW.
Right now I'm especially thankful that my daughter found a job in her field and her daycare for her twin boys went super well her first day on the job (today). :goodvibes

I am thankful for my family as well - DH, DD and DS are amazing individuals who may try my patience but sure make life interesting and fun to live. :goodvibes

I am also very thankful for a house that has water! and double thankful for DH  after the weekend we had. Our septic system backed up :headache:- he spent the entire day at home calling every plumber in the book and dealing with ensuing flood of nasty with a shopvac. He finally got someone to come out about 7 p.m. I spent most of the day running about town with DH and DS since we had no bathrooms that worked - so he also got to deal with it all by himself with visits from us to drop him food.

I am thankful for the 15+ years we had with my fur baby, Abby. :dog: She passes away today and it is very difficult, but I know she is in a better place. Her health was declining and there was just nothing that could be done. I will miss her, but will always be thankful I had her in my life. :sad1:

All of my family is healthy and happy--all I really desire out of life. :thumbsup2

For the first few weeks of school every year, I whine and complain about how tired I am, how much my feet hurt, and how much I miss the lazy days of summer. Then there comes a day when the air is cool, my feet don't hurt any more, the kids are settled into the routine, and I remember how much I love teaching. I am thankful for work that I love and believe is important. And of course, I'm thankful for all of you here on the boards too!

I'm most thankful for my family, friends, and all the kinds folks I've met from the DIS.

I'm thankful for Peet's Coffee Company :banana::banana::banana: my ability to spend oodles of time with my Grand-Niece (see below), and finally meeting a man who loves me as I am right now, today!
