Beignets location?

Hey guys!

So on my food bucket list for my upcoming trip I really wanted to try beignets, but I noticed on the site that sassagoula float works is closed for refurbishment,

Is there any where else at port Orleans or Disney in general where they serve beignets? I'm not staying at port Orleans so I didn't want to make the boat ride over there for no reason.

When WDW announced the refurbishment of Sasagoula Float Works they said that a limited menu including beignets would still be available. While no longer a full service restaurant, there is a former restaurant space which has a kitchen. I just don't know if they are planning on using the restaurant space or the lounge for ordering. It's all on the same side of the building as the food court.

There is a small food court with limited seating but a pretty decent menu with lots of options right near the closed main food court. Beignets served all day while each batch lasts!

If you are going to Universal one of the days they have pretty good beignets at Pat O'Briens later in the day - they have a window where they sell those and drinks

I think there is also a cart in City walk that has fresh ones as well.

Just returned from a stay at POFQ a few weeks ago. The beignets are served the entire time the temporary food court is open, and they are made to order. So it takes a few minutes to get them, but running out is never a problem!

Try them with the chocolate dipping sauce, soooooo good!

I have taken many trips to New Orleans and always have breakfast at Cafe Du Monde getting beignets, OJ and coffee. One secret to great beignets is to eat them immediately. If you let them sit very long the quality goes way down. Don't get them to eat later. DW stopped smoking 25 + years ago. When she smoked she would have to finish her cigarette before eating the beignets or any food. Since she doesn't smoke she can't believe how much better the beignets are.
