Behind The Scenes of Wishes Weddings: A Maid's Perspective UPDATE: More Shower Stuffs

I've already read through Liz & Jackie's PJ and I think that all three of you are too cute. & I'm really glad that you decided to join us, I can't wait to see what you have to say, must be so exciting to get to be a part of TWO Disney weddings! :)

It is SO exciting. Especially since the weddings will be so different that makes it that much more fun for me! :yay: I'm glad you're along for the ride!

Such a cool idea! Thanks for providing the BM's perspective. I've been a BM several times (and I'm not preparing for my own wedding, just interested in weddings).

Here is the first of the fun entries: dresses and shoes! Let it be known that I am a self-proclaimed shoe addict. I love shoes and they are the one article of clothing that I can never get enough of (made evident by the fact that I have pointy toed pumps in 5 different colors...) and when it came to wedding outfits I was ecstatic to pick out shoes and I'm just going to put it out there...I Found the two most amazing pairs of shoes for these weddings.

Without further ado...

This is the beautiful dress I get to wear:

Finding the perfect dresses for Liz's wedding was a little bit of a process. We (and once again, by we I mean mostly Liz :) ) wanted all of the bridesmaids to wear the same dress, and because the bridal party is made up of many different body types, we were on a quest to find the perfect dress that would look amazing on everybody. Early on in the search we established that we wanted something chiffon or organza - something flowy, with an empire type waistline. This dress we found on our third trip to try dresses and it was the first one I tried on that day. And I'll be honest...I didn't want to take it off. Liz had to force me out of it so the other two bridesmaids (there are 5 of us in all, one couldn't come because she was in Northern Ireland) try it on as well. It is so comfortable and flowy, I felt like a movie star. I knew right away that it was the one and I'm glad that Liz thought so too!!

Now these shoes are probably on my list of top ten favorite things right now and it was Liz that found them for me! (She's the best) I was pining over a pair of Paris Hilton shoes (say what you will about her, her shoes are amazing!) with giant bows on them and once Liz sent me the link to these I forgot all about the other ones (Paris who?). So here they are!

That's right - the heel is covered in rhinestones. (In case you haven't noticed...I like sparkly things  ) These are so perfect I can't even begin to describe them. And yes, I do usually get this emotional about good shoes. They are a perfect fit and like the silver ones, have the toe platform which makes them so much easier to walk in. I'm ready to dance the night away at ADH in them!

As for jewelry, "we" are in the process of finding the perfect necklaces to go with the dress. We are thinking something a little on the chunky side because of the neckline, but it's all up in the air at this point. It's pretty surprising to me that the jewelery would be the hardest part of completing an ensemble, but it seems to be giving us a run for our money.

:goodvibes

Hii just stopping by!

And I really wish I had a good idea for jewelry for you--- but I'm stuck on my OWN jewelry! I'm utterly hopeless and terribly picky...

(Also, I am no longer walking down the aisle to Wishes! It's been changed to Daydream Believer, which has been my favorite song since I was 15! Fun fact. :))

Good to know. That's a great song - SO you. :) I'll look around for jewelry and let you know if I find something!

I really believe these are the types of PJ's that are going to start coming out more. Between stories from the POV of a bridesmaids/MOH, and mine as a Groom, it's exploring other experiences, not just the brides. It's also opening up to a whole new crowd which makes it totally neat! A Disney wedding isn't always about the Bride, but everyone who makes it her day.

I wouldn't be too surprised if we start to see more of these 'outside the bride' PJ's!!

Good stuff so far, and I'm looking forward to your adventures!

I completely agree! A wedding is SUCH a group effort and I love seeing everybody's POV on how it comes together. Thanks for stopping by and I'm looking forward to your wedding adventures as well!

I love your two dresses, both are gorgeous! I particularly like the one you picked out for Jackie's wedding, nice choice - and the color is awesome too.

Thanks :) I love them both a lot. And I love how fun Jackie's dress is, when I tried it on I remember saying that the flowers made me feel like Giselle from the beginning of Enchanted. :goodvibes I'm excited to wear both of them. :cutie:

This PJ is such a great idea, I can't wait to follow it :thumbsup2 Love the dresses btw :goodvibes

I love the first shoe! I love the little peep toe :goodvibes

I like the first pair, you don't often see the flower on the side like that, I like them because they are different :cool1:
