Everything is still pretty unreliable as everything is still new with the vaccine. Right now the CDC site is showing the Phizer vaccine is only good for 2-3 months. What do they want, people to get the series of shots 4xs a year? This was info from my work and the hospital that oversees my job.

You bring up a good point. In the UK, they are already talking about new shots for new strains. Maybe they could start mailing them to people and they could learn to do it themselves.

The UK can't really cope with currently vaccinating everyone once. This pandemic has proven how weak our health service is - I havent seen much about shots for new strains - only that what we currently have might not cover the Brazil strain

That's going to make the so called "immunity passes" rather problematic, it would seem to me. Immunity from what? A disease that has already mutated to forms that no one is immune from, vaccine or not?

The reason the CDC is currently only quoting 2-3 months is because the first individuals have only had it that long. As time goes on they will be able to say it remains viable for longer, but they need the data to back that first.

I haven't found info yet on if the US accepts one of those quick tests. Does anyone know?

Several countries aren't accepting those quick tests, but the 'official' tests are very hard to get in the time frame that the countries demand. Always frustrating when governments or big companies make 'demands' of the people that are nearly impossible to meet.

What I wonder is if the existing tests, irrespective of type of test, will pick up the new strains I keep hearing about.
