Begging for any info on California Grill wedding food/menus

I've found only two weddings on here with any info and I'd love any info on the food at a CG wedding.

Were you able to make any modifications/customizations?

I have an uncle who had a quintuple bypass and eats a low fat diet, as well as two vegetarians and a brother deathly allergic to peanuts.

Hows the food? I've never been but I've heard it's top notch. Unfortunately their menus are not customizable but I'm sure if you explain, they'll give you a break.

I have a few guests with specific dietery needs, and they said they will customize dishes for them - given notice and specific reason (for me its gluten and a vegan and a deathly allergy) and they will make special dishes for those people.

You just can't customize your entire menu - if that makes sense. So you could pick one menu, and the 3 people who need different dishes would be okay, but you couldn't pick a Menu with Beef and replace it with Chicken.

Hope this didn't confuse you too much.

They've sent me the current lunch menu, but it just didn't wow me the way the normal dinner menu does. Then, I was hoping I could do the soup and salad from one menu and the entree from another. I guess I can ask, right?

Thanks for sharing! Somehow this one had passed under my radar. I read the planning journal and trip report from start to finish. The photos are AMAZING!
