Does anyone want to trade for them? I have quite a few saved up. Will take credits via quest machine, too.

Are you only trading the tent room codes, or do you have other room codes you're willing to trade?

You're going to enter the codes then sell the rooms on VMK? How much do they sell for? Whatever it is, I'm pretty sure I can give you at least that maybe a little more.

I'd really love to give my brother the room, he deserves it, I don't have much but what exactly do the rooms sell for? I would really love to get two or one whichever works for you :p

I would like to buy them as well if you are just going to sell them. Please put me down for one or two if available.

I have other room codes, too, but I'm not sure I want to trade those away just yet. Others in the family probably will want them. We have a lot of explorer's tent rooms, though. More than 10.

As for what they sell for, they sell for 2,000 if I sell them back to VMK. I think VMK buys back at around 20% of an item's sale price. So, that's roughly equivalent to 10,000 worth of VMK price. Obviously, I'm hoping for something in between.

Let me get this straight you will enter codes and sell them for 2,000, but if we want to use them you want closer to 10,000?

Sure, something close to 10,000 sounds good to me. If you have a problem with that, don't offer. But I didn't say actually say I demanded 10,000. I said "Obviously, I'm hoping for something in between."

It's no different than buying something and trading it for fair value rather than taking the 20% of value that VMK offers. You know how much that 500 credit baseball cap sells back for? 100 credits. If I offered to sell it here, I'd expect someone to pay more than 100 credits and less than 500 credits.

But, hey, it'll trade for whatever people are willing to offer, as long as I'm willing to take it. If the offer is really close to 2,000, I'll probably pass, and use the room until that time comes when I REALLY need the credits. If it's closer to 10,000, I'm all over it. If it's in the middle, it depends on how many offers I get and how many rooms I have left. :surfweb:

I think the confusion comes from you beginning the thread by saying that you were going to sell them on VMK. If you were willing to part with them for 2,000 it seems a little strange that you would want five times as much from another player.

It's not that 10,000 is unreasonable for the room. It's just that you set people's expectations much lower by the way you started the thread. Anyway, that's too rich for me. :teeth:

I think you're right. I probably should have started it in the traditional way, with something like this:

Yep, that's right. You read it correctly. I have some of the explorer's tent room codes, unused, and I'm going to trade them for the best offers. Youcan't get these unless you get to the park. Looking for rares and beta. Mansion and retired pirate quest is good, too. No buyables, please.

Or we can post in your thread that your price might be a little steep and then out of no where get a nice PM with someone offering us them for free. So thank's to my PM fairy, I don't have to offer you 10,000. :thumbsup2

I'll offer a blue Bamboo rug, wall, and a blue Tangaroa-Ru Pole for a room code

You never did have to offer 10,000. All you had to do was read a little more carefully. Sheesh.

For anyone else who (understandably) doesn't feel like taking the time to read the whole thread, the reference to 10,000 credits was an entirely correct description of the value range of this item. It was not my asking price.

Tent rooms sell back to VMK for 2,000 credits. I can enter the codes myself, and if I want to sell the room back, I can get a price of 2,000 credits, which, in line with the usual VMK buyback system, means I am probably selling it for about 20% of its true value. I don't like selling stuff back to VMK, because VMK never gives me as much as another player will give me if they want the item. On the other hand, if I sell back, I don't have to do it until I need the credits, and I don't have to ask someone to blindly trust that my code is valid, nor do I have to give someone a code and blindly trust that they will transfer the credits.

On the other hand, someone who wants a room that definitely is worth at least 2,000 credits, and might be worth as much as 10,000, might be willing to offer me something in the middle of that range for the room, since I can't get more than 2,000 from VMK, and they can't get the room unless they trade, go to the park, or flame me and get lucky with a freebie by PM.

Prices of 2,500, 3,000, 3,500 and 5,000 have been suggested to me as the fair trading value of the rooms for someone who finds a trade to be mutually beneficial. That sounds reasonable. I'm wondering it's worth the hassle, tho.
