Hi! I'm trying to decide whether we should get a beer mug for a 5 day Dream cruise. Do you get the discount on any draft beers anywhere on the ship? Do the have anything other than Bud/Miller/coors? Also is there a drink of the day glass? If so, how does it work and where can you use it?
Thanks a bunch! I guess it's no.secret that I'm fantasizing about having a drink looking out at the ocean.

When we were on Dream last month, they were selling a glass DCL beer mug. I believe it held 22 oz. I believe refills were at the 16 oz price. We don't do draft beer, so I may be off on that a bit. By the second day of the cruise, I probably could have collected enough abandoned mugs to stock a small tavern, however. I don't think I saw anything about using a DoD glass over again.

When you finish your beer you trade in the mug for a token (like a business card) to use next time, that way you don't have to deal with a dirty mug or lugging it around.

There is a craft beer thread over here where they try to compile current offerings [link] . You pay the 16oz price of whatever your beer choice is, but receive 22oz instead. So no, you can't get the weird craft brew that lists for $9 at the $2 bud light price. But it still nets you more beer.

The day of the drink glasses are a bit more tricky since they are generally found on the pool deck. And there never seems to be a legitimate report that it works. But supposedly, if you reuse your DotD cup, you get your refill for the price of the normal no souvenir cup price. This is good, because the DotD cups in theory hold more than the regular cups, netting you more drink. If you can, the rumor also persists that if you order the DotD at one of the bars you'll get a better mixture than if you get it from a poolside server where everything is already premade together.
