Beer in Hotel Gift Shop?

Do they sell beer like they do in the resorts in DW? If not, is there somewhere close to buy it ie: very close walking distance or are we better off doing a towncar grocery stop between POP and HRH? Not that I'm the slightest bit interested in beer, or wine, or especially pina coladas......

Yes there is a Walgreens that has a full blown liquor store right across the street from the Portifino side of the U property, near the Best Western Universal. Sorry I forget the name of that main street right there, I would guess there has to be some on International Drive as well which is also just a hop skip and a jump from the U property. Of course there are a lot of bars also on U property even in the parks. But I am guessing you are wanting to save a few bucks.

The main road is called Kirkman.
I've never seen a gift shop at the onsite hotels that sells beer. Yes, you'll want to make the extra stop on the way from POP to HRH to stock a cooler. Tell the driver you want to visit the Publix just north of the parks on Conroy, or they'll stop at the one on Sand Lake Road.
