Beer and Wine in Grocery stores?

do the grocery stores sell beer and wine? We're planning a stop at one of the grocery stores - plubix, winn-dixie, superwalmart, or wherever - can we get beena dn wine there too. What about hard liquor?

You can get beer and wine at grocery stores (including Super Wal-mart). For hard liquor, you need to go to a seperate liquor store. ABC is one of the bigger chains that generally have a very large selection including beer and wine as well.

Any suggestions for best stop that would include the grocery store and the liquor store enroute from airport to Boardwalk? WDWIG has a grocery info page - planning to hit one of those - just need to map them out see what looks easiest. We arrive at 2PM and aren't planning to do parks that day.

Do most/all American grocery stores sell wine & beer? It always shocks me to see it when I'm in Florida. Alcohol isn't sold in Canadian grocery stores. Learn something new everyday!

CJK - It varies state to state and sometimes county to county. In Mass only those grocery stores with a license can sell and many don't have licenses so it's very inconsistent. However there are lots of just liquor stores here. When I was in KY in college, it was a wet city in a dry county completely surrounded by dry counties. Except for that one little college town, you couldn't buy booze for miles around.

There is a Goodings at Crossroads Shopping Center. It is more of a gourmet grocery store, so a bit more expensive but very convenient. They have a nice beer and wine selection. It is located at I-4 and 535, about 10 minutes from The Boardwalk. Further up 535 is a Publix, it is at the corner of 535 and 192. I had heard this location was supposed to close last summer but it was still open when I was there in August.

We buy our wine and beer at walmart, then Dee's Jack Daniels at the liquor store next door to Walgreens on rte. 535. The ABC stores are very expensive.
