Well Folks. I come to you because my family no longer likes to hear the big D word in the house. I think I have worn it out. :( hahaha

We leave for Disney in 98 days. Well, in 19 minutes it will be 97 days, but who is counting.

We are headed to WDW and will be staying in the cabins this time. First time for this. It will be my husband, my 6 year old daughter, my 2 1/2 year old son (who has autism). We are bringing the nanny for help with him, and my mom is going for the first time. My daughter has been to Disneyland twice, however, this will also be her first time to WDW.

I am working 10 and 12 hour days to pay for this trip as we pay cash for everything if possible. I listen to disney songs as my desk, I have Belle as my back ground, i surf the site on my breaks and I day dream of my daughter eating breakfast in the castle and my son riding the Dumbo ride for the first time.

I have now officially been told not to talk about Disney in the house as I am burning them out before we get there. Well, except for my daughter who is as excited as I am.

Do you guys experience this at all? I have to have something that keeps me going, I am pooped from working 65 hour weeks!

Any else so excited that they are just busting at the seems? I find myself splurging on cute clothes for her to wear just to Disney, and I find myself already wanting to plan another weekend get away for my husband and I only to Disneyland with some friends once we get back from WDW.

Maybe I have a small problem?

all i can say is.....WELCOME TO THE CLUB!! :wave2:

i think about our trip 24/7 too, and my dh is about ready to strangle me. (we leave in 47 days)

oh, well. there are worse things i could be addicted to!

oh boy, do I hear you. Nobody wants to hear me talk about Disney anymore, it's referred to as the "D" word as well. My 6yo will actually cover my eyes when a Disney commercial comes on, and last night my dh said I was driving him crazy talking about going. So, to heck with them. I'll obsess in silence I guess, and hang out here with my fellow addicts.

Count me in, I think my DF is tired of listening to me everyday. I definitely get through a day by reading through new posts and seeing how excited everyone else is! And yes, there ARE worse things you could be addicted to! A little Mouse never hurt anyone!
Keep :goodvibes

I've been trying to keep my mentions of "the D word" to a minimum of late, to avoid burning my DW out before we go. We still have 39 days left before we go, so it's going to be a while before I can really talk about it again. I'm hoping she'll start getting excited and talk about it some time before we go.

I even gave our weekly Disney movie date a rest last week and we watched X-Men 3 instead. Tonight, though, it's back to Disney with 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.' :goodvibes

Well you can perhaps over do it some? I try and be careful not to do it too much with the kids...I don't want the "hype" to overshadow the reality of being there I guess? Of course now they know what to expect pretty well though after 3 trips!

Just wait until you get home from your trip and you want to start planning the next day... then the family gets worried!

Boy, you said it! We went in June and before we even left Disney to come home I was thinking in the back of my head "when can we come back" :goodvibes Disney is an addiction for sure! My DH does not like Disney much so I am planning on taking my kids in october 2007 for the MNSSHP. I read these boards daily to keep my sanity! Could be worse addictions, right? :confused3

HAHAHA! We just got back from Disneyland in April. We live in Utah and my husband works for an airline. So we have free flight benefits. So I talked him into Disneyland. And I think he thought that would shut me up for a little while. haha

Two Febs ago I took my daughter (6 yo) and my mom. It was a girls weekend. Then this past April we went to DL again as a family, taking my son and husband hoping my son, who is Autistic, would enjoy something along the way. Well, he pretty much stayed at the hotel. This year we are hoping that he enjoys it a little more. He is just so scared of the characters.

So once we got back from DL, i said "Hey! Since we have free flight benefits, why don't we just pull off DW??!!"

And, thus, the cycle begins. My mom has never been to DW, and this is the first time for the kids. I have made reservation at the Bippity Boppity Boutique, and breakfast as the Castle, and dinner with Prince Charming.

My husband has now officially grounded me from calling Disneyworld. HA! And he says he is going to block the site from our home computer.

But he can't access my work computer!!! Bwaaa haaaa haaaa!!!

princess: :surfweb:

And how in the world do you guys get your pictures in? My pics are loaded on a third party site that I can use to insert my pics into eBay and in to my blog. But I just can't figure this message board out.

My DH has given me a time line. After our last trip he can't take it anymore. I can talk about our disney trip when we are 30 days out and I am almost there. Seriously I think he doesn't like to admit he's as excited as I am, that's what I choose to believe ;) .

:cheer2: I guess I can count my lucky stars because the rest of my family is just as nuts as I am about it, except my DH thinks we should go every 3-4 years, and I think we should be perpetually planning our next trip to go see the Mouse.

We leave in 50-something days....and DH just rolls his eyes every time I mention the D word or the Disboards... :rotfl2:

Luckily I can come here and get my dose of Disney without ruining my marriage :lmao:

:thumbsup2 Right there with you on the addiction thing! My trip isn't until February and I'm already thinking about planning the next one!

Me too!!! :thumbsup2 It's all I do these days!! I also have 2 trips to scrapbook, so that keeps me in the mood. It doesn't help that my best friend is just as addicted and her SIL, who I see once a week at dance with our Dd's, is just as addicted and that's all we talk about for an hour every week!! lol :rotfl:
Dh makes fun of me, but he keeps suggesting and approving the trips. :teeth: I finally said "what's the harm? We all have fun and have great memories there. It's a family thing so what's so bad about it" and they agreed. So there. There are worse things we could be doing. Enjoy it!!! Have fun and enjoy your up-coming trip.

My sibs, parents, in laws - all think we are nuts and roll their eyes anytime we mention Disney. DS5 also always talks about Disney and makes references to it all the time.

To the Dis. :wave2:

I am so lucky because I live in house of Dis addicts. We are all certifiably, 100% dis-crazed. Dh books so many vacations, I never even unpack. You are definitely in good company -- welcome home. Free to be addicted!!!

I so know how you feel. My husband doesn't even really want to go in the first place (it's taken me 12 years to get him to go) and my 3-year-old can only handle so much. I surf this board all day, think about WDW all day and even dream about it. I'm pathetic.

life is to short not preperate as we call it .If you don't believe me ask just ask any DISER and they will tell you that planning is half the fun in fact there is a disease that hits almost all DISers which hits prior to the trips, pre trip depression due to the fact that we have nothing to plan. So keep planiing until the cows come home or mickey . but never stop dreaming.

WOW there are several of you who are very NEW!!
:welcome: come on in and join the party:

LOL I know the feeling!!! My family now walks out of the room when I mention something. Thats why this site is so great. At least you can be excited with people and vent on those who understand as they are going through the exact same thing.
