Been to Disney many times and never knew (please feel free to add yours!)

That Leota's eyes opened on her gravestone at the HM. I guess it's because you're usually not waiting by the doors and when you walk past you're usually looking forward. It's a very creepy effect.

I actually found this one out on the DIS boards...and had to check it out!

You can remove the bottom of your resort mugs and stow small items like $$$, the bottom should have a tab sticking out and you just pop it off. I never knew this!

I checked and the mug I got in Feb 2004 had the removable bottom part! :thumbsup2

How cool is that! :thumbsup2 Just went to check my mugs out and sure enough, the bigger mugs (not the smaller thin ones) bottoms pop off. You could probably put shaved ice in there to keep your beverage cold for longer periods of time. Thanks for this tip. :cool1:

I still have my AK cup from 2 years ago I wonder if they are still the same? I thought about bringing it to see if I could get refills. Anyone know if they change cups over the years? I have the green tiger cup.

Thank for the info on the TL and BB cups still have that one too.

been to disney too many times and never knew all the words to Pirates theme until this year - can't wait to sing along with my sister after 27 years in the dark. what i would still like to know is - how can i get a countdown ticker on my signature? first time posting - love it

Ok. Here is how the mug at TL & BB works. :) You buy the mug once. Each trip back to either of the water parks you walk up to the lovely CM selling mugs and ask for a new sticker for your mug. In the past we have done this just outside or inside the turnstiles where there is a CM just selling mugs. The CM slapped the new sticker on the mug and charged us $5 or $6... It was painless. We have had about 10 new stickers and never been treated any way but well by the CM. We always show them the mug and they put the sticker on though. (Sorry for the poster who had a hard time with this. :confused3 There is always one CM somewhere that just doesn't get the way things work. They were probably new to that position.)

BTW, these mugs are a bit bigger than resort mugs which is good, because depending on where you sit it can be a pain to get a refill.

I did not know until very recently that there is a ride inside the ball at EPCOT.

a live alligator can be seen in the moat/river along the "boardwalk" from Liberty Tavern over to Thunder Mountain. My son and I saw him for the first time last year. Apparently people throw their half eaten turkey legs in for him to eat. At least that is what one cast member told me when I told him that I had seen an alligator.

Please don't let people feed the gator. That's how they become agressive and unafraid of people. Not sure about Disney, but for our subdivision, they will not remove gators less than 4 feet long.

You can also stuff it with ice and it keeps your drink even colder. :thumbsup2

They will remove any gators no matter the size. Remember, we are in a place where people will always think "isn't it cool that they have animatromics here?" :confused3 - here being any body of water inside or outside the parks- so they have to be as cautious as they can.

They wouldn't remove the one that resided in the lagoon by the BCV until he was 4' long. He had been there for more than a year. We had seen him when we were there and then over a year later someone we knew got a picture of him.

It also could have gone back there. My friend was telling me that they have a kind of internal homing beacon type of thing. They can find their way back to "home" waters.

What??? I just checked mine - both the smaller and larger ones from WL from the last couple years. There's no tab or "secret" compartment.

:confused3

Over 15 trips and never knew about Scoops' pin talk. Can't wait to check that out!
