Been There, Done That and ThenSome:Timandlesley Do Disneyfor18days!11/2 TR IS UP!pg79

Another fun update! I love all the pictures, you look like you're having such a blast. And the video of Luke dancing in BPB was cute!

Lesley another thing do you wear water shoes when you go to the water parks I was just going to where my adidias flip flops but my cousin is like no we need real water shoes like keens or trackers by lands end we are leaving in 5 days and now she is stressing me I need to get my butt moving I just have tolietries packed so far YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I vote for surf shoes! You can get cheapies at Walmart or CVS or any other big chain. You really don't want to walk all over the park barefoot, and if you are only using them for the water parks, you don't need expensive ones.

Sounds like another great day!! I agree that Brown Derby should not be 2 credits. I think that is crazy. We have not eaten there & I guess we wont. That was great that you & Diane got together again. Isn't Boma just wonderful?? We now have been for dinner & breakfast & I would have to say that I like the dinner better. Breakfast is good but I just love all the choices for dinner & those desserts!!

The night swimming looks like fun! Very relaxing!

We want to try Brown Derby when the kids are better behaved in restaurants. Some day! Ha ha!

Lesley,

I finally got caught up. It had been a few days since I was on the boards. I loved the report on Kim Possible. My Jeremy is sooooo excited about this for our September trip. I did have a few questions. I noticed on your report that Tim had got Soarin fastpasses and then a Kim Possible fastpass. Can you get a Kim Possible fastpass before the time is up on the other fastpasses? Also, when you were done in Japan would it have allowed you to do another mission or did you have to get another fast pass to do another one at a later time? Sorry for all the questions but I want to get it right for Jeremy.

Looking forward to the next post!

Erika

Erika

Hope I'm not stepping on any toes, but yes you can have both. KP isn't linked to anything else. I just their way of putting people in line and not overbooking.

Another AWESOME update!!! I love how you break during the day and are able to enjoy the resort - when we are there I feel like I have to get it all in!!!
Yes, the breaks are wonderful!

Another fabulous update! Boma twice in one day: WOW!!!!!
It was awesome!

Great Day! I now want to go to Walt's One Man Dream. I never knew what it was and my boys will hopefully be old enough to let me enjoy it....and them too of course. Good to know about Hollywood Brown Derby. I love your face with the Grapefruit Cake dessert....too funny! Great video of Luke...not need to be "mortified"! Nathan usually asks me in a tone..."are you going to post that on facebook?" :goodvibes
Yeah, you should check it out, it was great. Yeah, the grapefruit cake is YUCKY! Glad you enjoyed the video of Luke, I'll tell him : ) Luke says that facebook stuff all the time too : )
Yay, another update! I've been checking every day and you're so fast, it's great! And still almost two weeks of the vacation left! Woohoo!! Love how you're still finding new things to do and try. Sounds so relaxing and fun. Can't wait to hear more about the Kim Possible missions. :)
Glad you are enjoying it. The KP missions are awesome, I did some video of them too.
What a great DHS day!!!! HOW AWESOME!!!!! I hope we can get some good chilling out time on our trip in September too!
Glad you enjoyed the update. I hope you can too!
Great Update I see you enjoyed Boma for dinner I was trying to get my DH to go there since the last 3 days of our trip we will be at AKL But when I told him it was a Africian Restaurant he was like no way to spicy I am not eating there maybe I can try to convince him again.
You know I was worried about Tim too but so many of the stuff isn't spicy, Tim is picky in that way and he loved it!
Darn..had typed up a nice reply, but it got deleted :headache:

Anyway

Another great update :thumbsup2

Lauren looked adorable in her HSM Musical outfit :cutie:

Go Luke for getting your groove on :woohoo:

Glad to hear that boma breakfast was good. I plan on trying that on our next trip :woohoo:

Bummer on the grapefruit dessert. I hope tim shared his banana foster with ya :goodvibes

That is great kids got to swim together :yay:
Sorry about your original post, hate it when that happens. Yeah, I like Lauren in that outfit too. Boma breakfast was yummy, especially the juice.
Lesley

Lesley another thing do you wear water shoes when you go to the water parks I was just going to where my adidias flip flops but my cousin is like no we need real water shoes like keens or trackers by lands end we are leaving in 5 days and now she is stressing me I need to get my butt moving I just have tolietries packed so far YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We haven't done water parks, but everyone I've seen going on the buses has water shoes of some sort. At the AKL pool I was DYING without my shoes on, the pavement is SO hot!!! Good luck packing!
This day just seems to wipe away whatever "blues" may have been there the day before. You all look so sunned and happy from breakfast to pool time!!! WHAT a great entry. I never thought to do Boma for breakfast... sure looks like it was good! :goodvibes

Really loved the photos from the MK, and DHS.... gotta love when the posted time is no where near the real time, and that is a good thing!!! :thumbsup2

So fun you were able to meet up with Diane and her family so often, that really is fun to have made that connection through the DIS!!! Your MK evening seemed to be a happier one as a result!

I agree with you about Derby and the signature status.... doesn't seem to match...

Anyway, what a tremendous couple of posts... So much FUN!!! :surfweb:
Yes, it really was a great day. Yes Diane's family and ours became very good friends over this visit, and it is a friendship we will continue - more info to come. Glad you are enjoying things so far, thanks for reading/posting.
Great video of Luke dancing in the parade.:thumbsup2 I've wondered what Brown Derby was like. You are right, sounds like it should be one credit.
Glad you enjoyed it, I'll tell him : ) Yeah, Brown Derby shouldn't be a signature, in my oppinion.

Great update. The characters from UP are so cute!!! Wow, Tim got great pics from the iphone! Too funny about Lauren with the parasol! :rotfl2:
I know, I loved the UP characters. Yes, Lauren and the parasol was a classic.
love Lauren's outfit and hairdo:cool1:
glad you guys enjoyed Boma's--it was favorite of ours last summer, too:goodvibes
Tim did her hair, he is good with it isn't he ; )

Loving the updates, I have never understood the fascination with the grapefruit cake:confused3
I know, the best thing about it was the slice of fresh grapefruit on the plate!

I just love DHS, and really enjoy Walt's One Man's Dream attraction. Sounds like you had a great day. The Brown Derby is good, but pretty expensive. I love Coconut Shrimp at Outback, Tim's appetizer was so small:rotfl:, I would never be able to have that as my meal like I do at Outback. But you really can't compare Disney food to large chain restaurants.
Love all the pictures of the kids with the UP characters.
Glad you enjoy One Man's Dream, it was awesome. I know, that appetizer was so teenie!

Nice update Lesley! I'm glad you enjoyed your Boma breakfast and dinner! We liked the breakfast, but weren't so sure about the flavors for dinner. Loved Luke dancing and how you got to hang out with your DIS friends at the resort!
It was wonderful, love Boma! Glad you enjoyed the video, I'll let Luke know : )

So sorry about the work crisis. That really stinks. I got a few panic calls on our last trip. First one came while riding Big Thunder, saw it was work and thought Oh crap!! Not on Mickey time. I hope you got the situation resolved.

Thanks for the warning on Brown Derby, not 2 credit worthy for sure.

So glad you guys liked Boma.:thumbsup2 Did Tim get his hummus fix?
Jiko looked great, we haven't tried it yet.
Also haven't tried the plaza, that looks like one to add to the list.:)
Tim actually didn't try the hummus, he was too facinated with trying all the other stuff. Jiko really is amazing, if you get the opportunity give it a try.
Great update, loved all the pics.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for reading/posting

Aw that looks like a great day! :goodvibes I'm definately going to have to do Playhouse Disney next year with my little guy.

I'm so glad the TSM line wasn't that line for you guys! When we were there, the wait said 90 minutes and we got in line and it was only 40, but it went by fast because they weren't weaving inside at all!
Yeah, the Playhouse Disney show is loads of fun! Glad you didn't wait the posted time for TSM either, GREAT ride isn't it!!

Another action packed day! Toy Story Mania was definately one of our favourite rides! I think because its such great family fun we all loved it soo much! The lines for it though are incredible aren't they? So glad you didn't have long to wait!

We can't wait for "UP" to come out over here! The characters look good fun! We saw the Bolt Characters there and wow were they fabulously fun! They spent sooo much time with the kids playing with them it was amazing!

We never done the Walt - One's man Dream attraction either - I think the kids will be slightly older and may appreciate it next year so may give it a go!

How are you finding the Deluxe Dining Plan? We are booked with this next year (mainly Paddy's choice!LOL) and I am just slightly worried that its too much food and maybe a tad restrictive with having to rush aroudn for ADR's all the time? Although being able to have the choice of soo many wonderful restaurants is fab!

How sweet of Diane to do the goodie bags for the kids as well! Lovely Diane!Glad you had a lovely relaxing end to the day!

Carreen

Hello again Careen, yeah Toy Story Mania is such fun, they need to put more rides in like that. We really enjoyed the deluxe dining plan, we didn't eat everything on our plates, that's for sure. As for it being restrictive, what you will see we did this trip if we didn't feel like eating at one of them, we would quickly make changes to adapt to what we wanted to do, or would skip a meal and then book a signature one which made it such fun and allowed us to try all kinds of nice restaraunts! Yes, Diane was awesome! (still is : )

Finally got to read all of your trip report so far - it all sounds amazing!! I have many of the same shots you have of Tim acting crazy like my husband does! Usually we go in May and your TR help get me over the blues of the trip being over. This year you will be helping feed my disney addiction that I need to help get to the 35 days we have left before we leave. Looking forward to hearing more.
Glad you caught up and you are enjoying it. How fun that you will be leaving for Disney soon, hope you have a fabulous trip!

what a FUN day! Diane is just wonderful with the fastpasses on the first day, now the gift bags. :flower3:

Lesley, would you say you preferred Boma's breakfast or dinner? (ie. if you had a choice of eating there for breakfast or dinner which would you choose?)
Actually I would choose dinner, there were so many options. They were both outstanding but if I could only do one then it would be dinner for sure.

Great update.

Think i'm going to leave Brown Derby next year. We went to Hollywood and Vine last year. Don't know where to try perhaps Mama melrose??

Boma is one of our favourite places. The desserts at that place are to die for.

Looking forward to the next:cool1:
We reallly enjoy Mama Melrose, great food!

Great update, and I enjoyed the video of Luke dancing. It sounds like you had a action packed day filled with wonderful food.
Glad you enjoyed the video, I'll tell Luke ; )
What a great day so far.. That picture of you tasting that grapefruit cake is priceless. TSM is definately my favorite ride and I agree with you that I would wait 40 mins for that ride. I can't wait to see the characters of UP my little one will go crazy. Lauren is too cute with those pigtails. Just adorable.
Glad you enjoyed my yucky photo : ) TSM is such a great ride, I just love it! Glad you enjoyed Lauren's hair, Tim did it : )

What a great day!! One Man's Dream is definitely on our to-do list for Sept--neither of us have done this either. I loved the pictures of your family in there and with the UP characters--LOVE this movie! I'm Really glad you liked Boma too--we're going for our last dinner and then for breakfast on our last day. :thumbsup2 I'll put the seafood gumbo on my list for sure!! And that is HILARIOUS that Lauren was walking around with only her parasol! :upsidedow
Yes, you will enjoy One Man's Dream, lots of great stuff in there. Boma was wonderful!

Another fun update! I love all the pictures, you look like you're having such a blast. And the video of Luke dancing in BPB was cute!
Glad you are enjoying everything so far and you liked the video, I'll let Luke know : )

Naked with a parasol :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

Oh.......... wouldn't it be great to be five again!
OH TO BE FIVE AGAIN INDEED!!!!

It was a great day. I think it's crazy it's 2 credits also. Boma IS wonderful, just love it!

The night swimming looks like fun! Very relaxing!

We want to try Brown Derby when the kids are better behaved in restaurants. Some day! Ha ha!
Yes, it was a great night! Good luck with the kids in restaraunts, sure took mine a while : )

Erika
Yes, you can do the fast pass with KP and other attractions. If they give you a FP for a country you've already done they had us go to the International Gateway with that FP and tell them we had already done the country assigned and they gave us an assignment in the countries we wanted, they were super flexible and easy to work with - Jeremy will love it!

Great update and pics. Love the video from BPB and the pics. Hopefully next time we don't get rained out and can see it. Boma sounds amazing. I have a picky DH too but well have to try it sometime. :cool1: That you all met up for swim time and adult beverages. Looking forward popcorn:: to the next update sounds like it will be funny.

Boy I got behind quickly! :rotfl: We have VBS at church this week, and I am in charge of Registration which is a BIG behind the scenes job, so I haven't had a chance to get on.

Love that the DIS (friends) and Disney gave you something to smile about after your rough day.

So glad that the rain didn't effect your fun either. :thumbsup2

I can't wait to get back down there and try that TSM ride. It looks so FUN!! That was my 16 yo son's FAVORITE movie.

Blackmail photos are always handy to have. :rolleyes1

Ahh yes, the old "bring out the naked picture when you were 5" in the future. :lmao:

When my DD was 5 she ran out to the pool at my parents house to ask Purplepeg and Geodoc if they wanted some gummy worms. Geodoc pointed out to her that she was naked and she pointedly said "I KNOW, but do you want a gummy worm":lmao: Being the mature parents we are we bring this up at all family functions and get togethers, now that she has a boyfriend we have a new audience:rotfl2:

Thanks again for a wonderful installment, I get so excited when I log in and see that you have posted another day.....thank you so much for making me laugh!!!

Loving the report thus far! Glad to see the iPhone photos. I am getting an iPhone on Saturday! Sounds like you really love it. I am excited to get it and see what all it can do. I am a Blackberry girl, and wanted the BB Storm, but do NOT want Verizon. Also, wanted a touch screen, so the iPhone it is. Anyway, sorry to hijack! :)

I guess we should have waited in the standby line for TSM like you guys did. We saw the lines over there and decided to head to RnRC instead. The wait there said 20 minutes, I think, but it was only about five really. We ended up with FP for TSM for way later in the day and almost didn't get to use them. Long story.

Did you know that you can skip the show at Animation Studios? Just go in the doors of the gift shop. You can kind of sneak in the back way. Very nice. I agree, the show needs an update.

Okay, off to bed.

Alice

So I finally caught up! I have been wondering when you'd be starting your TR and looking for it, don't know how I missed it!!:upsidedow Anyway, as usual I am loving reading about your fun family and all the awesome stuff you do in WDW! I have to say- I LOVE that photo of your men in front of the castle- it is priceless! AND I wanted to tell you that my family had the same reaction to the treehouse many years ago- "That's IT??????" I think my DH said the same thing as Tim- "That's 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back!":rotfl: Love how you are talking Lauren through her fear on the rides- and so proud of her for going on them all! :thumbsup2 Also glad you met some of your DISfriends- it IS like meeting best friends you've never met before, isn't it? The TR I'm doing now is all about that- actually I'm writing it with 2 other DISfriends, (DISmoms) Camster0307 & Karajeboo, about when we went to WDW in May without our kids- sooooooooo much fun!!!

Can't wait for more!!!!!!!:)

I love Luke's Dug shirt. I think I have told you before but we have a golden retriever, too. That saying about "I just met you and already love you" should be the motto for goldens. Thanks for the review of the Brown Derby ... another restaurant we have not tried.

The story about Lauren with the parasol is too funny.:lmao:

Loving all of your updates! That grapefruit cake looked gross to me. We are trying Boma this trip and I am so excited!

Enjoying your report, but it has me wondering.....am I the ONLY person who doesn't hate the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse?!?!?! Seriously, it is classic Disney! Like back when the Magic Kingdom WAS Disney World, since nothing else existed! I remember climbing through the treehouse as a kid and thinking to myself how much I would have LOVED to live there!!! (Still do actually ;)) Please tell me there's someone else out there who shares my nostalgia for the treehouse?! :sad1:

Anyway, sorry...loving the report. Anxious to hear what you thought of Kidani. We were there opening weekend and are trying to decide whether it's back to Kidani next time, or to try Jambo. Hmmm......decisions, decisions.

What a great day you had!! You all look like you were having the time of your lives! It makes me want to go back right now!!!!! A great ending to have a Dis meet too!

Love Luke's new shirt!!!!

Love the blackmail photo! So funny!
