Been off the boards for a while - time to plan a trip to HHI

I haven't been on the boards much lately (hardly at all). We took a trip in June 2010 and spent three years points in order to take DH's extended family. So, since I had no points - I didn't come around often - it only depressed me about how long it would be before I could dream of DVC again. To be honest - I haven't even looked at the Disney Files or the website either.

Now - we're looking at borrowing from 2012 to go to HHI in the fall. I'm getting excited just thinking of a trip.

Finally - my question!!!! Have there been any big changes that I need to know about in making reservations, using points, etc...? I haven't had to worry about any of that since July 2009 - when I booked the trip that used up all my banked, current & borrowed points!

If I'm not planning a trip I too, tend not to know what is going on with DVC. But I know they now allow you to buy some extra points (24, I think) from Disney once per use year if you need some extra.
