We are going to WDW in Oct and MAY be going back in Jan.. If that is the case, an AP will be a better investment. If we buy tickets at the 25th anniv DVC pricing, and want to upgrade, will it be the price we paid for the tickets, or will it count as current gate pricing at that point? Or do they still 'bridge' tickets?

Thanks for the answers.

I guess it will depend on how Disney classifies these tickets. Will they treat them like discounted tickets purchased from a 3rd party (like undercover tourist) or will they consider them a direct purchase. Tickets purchased from a 3rd party (or package tickets) will be price bridged if used at least once. Tickets purchase direct from Disney (except package tickets) will not be price bridged.

Ahhh.. Ok THAT's the difference.. Have a feeling they will not be bridged then.. Can hope though!

My guess is they will consider them a direct purchase since if you buy them online it is done directly through the Disney website ticketing site-but it can't hurt to try, right?

When Disney knows how much you paid for the tickets, that's the value they apply. When you purchase from a third party or with a package, they don't know how much you actually paid.

But they know how much the reseller paid and if you don't use the ticket first, that's the amount they will give you credit for.
