day 9- Friday 19th August
Today our alarms were set early! We had and ADR for Crystal Palace at 8.05am.

We walked to MK and were directed to the left.
This was where they let people who had ADR's enter-Although they didnt check anyones name on a list.
It was lovely to see a fairly empty Main street and get our pictures take in front of the Castle.

We then headed to CP, where we were given our pager and waited about 5 mins before it went off.
This is the first time we had done breakfast at CP, we'd tried dinner before and thought it was ok.

I had been really good this holiday during all the buffets and started with a plate of fruit first.
I thought their fruit selection was one of the best. Ive not got all the fruit here but the berries were lovely and fresh.

I then got a plate of cooked food, followed by the sweet items.
I enjoyed the puffed french toast but everyones right the chocolate waffles arent that nice. they were very dry.

We enjoyed meeting the characters Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore and Piglet.

I had to take pictures of Lukes food, just to see what he was eating.
It makes me laugh that he's classed as an adult.

In the end he had about 4 grapes, 3 pieces of cheese, a quarter of an orange and 1 sausage.
I know its all about the 'experience' but this time, it was nice not to worry about the cost of it this year- due to free dining. mind you, we dont usually worry about it. We generally just focus on having a fab time on holiday.

As we had nearly finished I noticed a lady and a boy heading towards me, looking at me. As she approached me she said "I know this may sound strange but are you Nicky?"
it was Sarah aka The Marsons from the Dis and Sarah/Chris from the Dibb (sorry cant remember her proper user names) I mainly catch up on her Disney gossip on Facebook and we knew we were both going to Florida on the same day.
We said hi and briefly chatted about our time in Florida already. I was really stunned to meet someone out there. Id been keeping an eye out for anyone who was out there the same time but didnt see anyone else.
I thought it was fab she came to say Hi.
After we left CP we walked to BTM and then did Splash Mountain-it was a lovely hot day.

Next we went on a relaxing ride on Liberty Bell-its always very hot whenever we ride this.
SAM_2716.jpg

We then went on the haunted mansion ride, the new queue system was good-esp as it was moving very quick.
Luke enjoyed this ride, which is good as he never really enjoyed it in the past. We then went to watch Mickey's PhilharMagic
SAM_2751.jpg

We also tried to look at the expansion of Fantasyland expansion, it looks like its coming along well. Bit of a rubbish picture but theres some better ones from my last day, will post them when I get to it.

We next went on- It's a small world
Not sure many Dis crusiers will agree with the sign.................

We then headed for lunch at CHH and got 2 meals.
Theyve change the restaurant a bit to help Disabled guests more (theyve roped off a section just for disabled guests) although to me it felt uncomfortable as Disabled guests are segregated. Id much prefer it if theyd just encourage those able bodied to go upstairs, I know to us on the Dis the upstairs of CHH is the best place to sit.
After lunch we went on Snow whites scary adventures. We then headed towards CRT. we were going to be eating there on our last night so just checked it out.
Then it was time for shopping! We looked in all the shops before catching the monorail back to the hotel.
SAM_2803.jpg

We started to head to our room but spotted mousekeeping was there so we left them to it and popped to the Contempo for drinks. After 15mins we headed back and got changed for swimming. We headed to the pool and spent about 1 hour swimming and relaxing before going back to the room to shower, change and relax for a bit.
We decided to have dinner at the Contempo.
M-burger,fries,chocolate milk, caramel cake. Great burger. The cakes here are yummy, the caramel one was lovely and still tasted great a couple of days later.
L-pasta marinara, chocolate milk, chocolate cake. luke enjoyed his pasta but didnt eat much. he tried the chocolate cake but didnt like it. Matt and i tried it but it was very stodgy. we kept it in our fridge but never got around to eating it.

SAM_2819.jpg

SAM_2818.jpg

N-burger,fries,strawberry milk, strawberry cake.- all very nice, the cake had strawberries in the middle of the cake-went well with the strawberry milkshake.
SAM_2820.jpg

SAM_2817.jpg

The milkshakes and cakes ended up in our fridge, which was now crammed with uneaten cakes. We tried to eat what we could over the holiday.
We did think about going to a park but in the end decided to get ready for bed and have an early night after watching wishes later on.
There were a couple of good tv programmes on but I have no clue what they were called now. Im sure we'll catch them again when they come to the UK.

Loving the TR. Getting me in the mood for BLT at Christmas.
The burger at Contempo I think is one of the best on property (for CS) second only IMHO to Pecos bills.
Looking forward to reading more :)

Can't believe that CHH have segregated an area :sad2:
All they need to do is have a few signs inviting the more able bodied guests to upstairs seating - the rest will sort itself out.
It must be great to decide on the spur of the moment, to have a night in and watch the fireworks - LIVE !!! :yay:

ooh lucky you. Id love to go and see the christmas decoration, Im sure we'll go 1 year.
I kept hearing about the peco bills burger, sound very yummy.
I wanted to try there but the others didnt fancy it when we were close by.

Yeah I was disappointed with CHH. for some reason I edited what they did-they roped a section off. It great that we are more likely to get a seat as we need to sit down to feed Luke but to segregate all the disabled into 1 area feels like we're going back to the old times.
I think signs is a great idea, not many seem to know about the upstairs.

It was great to take it easy this time. As it was August I knew it would be busy, so we didnt go too ott with our plans. It wasnt anywhere near as busy as I was expecting, so we were able to take our time and spend a bit more time in the room. :)

Oooo that food looks fantastic! :goodvibes Another lovely day, topped off with a nice relaxed watch of Wishes :lovestruc

Just realised I never finished reading your trip report  so am making amends.

A lovely day :goodvibes and I totally agree - why segregation?
A couple of signs would have been much nicer and IMO all that would be necessary.
